Gary Carlos Shine was born on May 20, 1949 in Arcadia, Florida to parents, the late Percell and Ella Mae Shine. The second of five children, he leaves three sisters, Cecyl E. Watson, Priscilla S. Martinez, Olga M. Shine and one brother, Reche’ Shine all of Arcadia.

He was baptized at an early age at Elizabeth Baptist Church.

Gary graduated from Smith-Brown High School in 1967.

He served into the United States Army for several years and was also 32nd Degree Mason.

He also leaves a daughter, Marian Conolly of Hinesville, Georgia, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. He also leaves a special friend, Catherine Teresa Davis.
