Lou Ester Kearse was born September 2, 1938 to Rodney Gilmore and Cherry Lee Doris in Drew, Mississippi.
Some years later, her family relocated to Florida.
Lou attended public school in Lee County, she retired after 30 years of employment with Sundial Beach Resort on Captiva Island.
She was active and faithful member at Unity Christian Church. She served as President of the Number 1 Usher Board until her health failed.
On Saturday, January 20, 2018, Lou Ester went home to be with the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Rodney Gilmore and Cherry Lee Jordan; her brothers, Joe Jordan Jr. (Eastcoast) and Leroy Jordan; step-children, George “Iceman” Kearse III and Georgia Lou (Fro).
Leaving to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 41 years, George Kearse Jr.; mother in-law, Pauline Kearse; step children, Ida Ree Kearse, and George Ann Kearse, Grant Nixon, Gloria Brown; sisters, Arlene Jenious (James) of Milwaukee, WI, Willie Mae (Bobby), Dorothy Thomas and Carrie Robinson all of Fort Myers, Florida; brothers, L.A. Barnes (Diane), Willie Jordan (Holly); sisters-in-law, Georgia Mae Kearse, Gloria K. Johnson, Dorris Wilson (Marcus) of Tampa, Florida; brothers-in-law, Earl Kearse (Barbara), Thorris Kearse (Shirley), Robert Kearse (Geraldine). A host of grandchildren and great-grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends including her Unity Church family.
