for
Our Mother Sis. Bernice Tippins Fuller
Mother was born January 2, 1929 in Lake City, South Carolina to the late Albert Tippins and Arie Yarn-Crosland.
In 1930, her mother moved back to Bainbridge, GA and then to Florida. She attended Duepoint Elementary School in Everglades and Naples, FL and Dunbar High School in Fort Myers, FL. She
has lived in Naples, FL for the last 70 years.
On August 1, 2016, Mother gained her wings and returned to her heavenly home to bask in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her brother, Albert Tippins, Jr.; her sister, Naomi Fuller Peterson; grandsons, Shabiatae (Tiny Boy) Fuller and Talbot (Tiki) Fuller; granddaughters, Valarie Christopher and Marcellette (Niecy) Wilson-Shaw.
Our mother met and married our father, the late Florzell Fuller, Sr. in 1945 and they had 10 children together, four of whom preceded her in death.
In 1952, she confessed the Lord as her Savior at First Baptist Church in Immokalee, FL under Rev. Thomas. The Sermon was: “Is There Any Good Thing That Comes From Nazareth? Come and See.”
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Florencezella (Billie) Christopher, Arie Fuller, Barbara (Faye) Griffin, and Juanita (Gail) Stevenson; her sons, Florzell (Dorothy) Fuller Jr., Tyronne (Glenda) Fuller, Sr., and Victor (Gail) Fuller; daughter/niece, Gloria Jean (Norman) Williams.
Mother was blessed with 44 grandchildren, 95 great-grandchildren, 41 great-great grandchildren, and 1 great-great-great grandson (Elijah). Yes! She lived to see six beautiful generations. What a blessing!!
Goddaughters, Tina Carver, Vianca Wheeler, Vernell Pugh, Rosland Layton, Beverly Thomas, Leslie (Albert) Ivory, Cynthia (Vernon) Clinton; special niece, Barbara Ann Christopher; special friend, Ms. Millie Moore; a special cousin, Virginia Portillo; godsons, Richard (Sharon) Johnson, Daniel Cochran and Pastor Ricky (Valarie) Hawkins; brother in-law, Izell (Viola) Fuller and many other special goddaughters, nieces and nephews.
