Rose Marie Brown (Cricket) was born on May 18, 1964 in Fort Myers, FL to the late Herbert Hoover Brown Sr. and Dorothy L. Brown; however, the late Lois Harding contributed in raising Rose as if she was her own. Rose graduated from Riverdale High School in 1982 and served as 3rd Mardi Gras Sweet Heart of the Omega Psi Phi Ball in 1987. She continued her educational pursuits in Lee County and later graduated from Edison State College and Barry University. She touched many lives and was loved by plenty. Rose had many hobbies, but most of all she was a shop-a-holic. Her favorite color was blue. Rose accepted the responsibility to begin serving on the Communion Committee as well as many other ministries in her church. She also was a current member of the Lee County Democratic Black Caucus. Rose was employed with Sears (32yrs.) and Lee County School System. She has a long history working for LCECO (25yrs), Lee Memorial Health Systems and US Waters (1yr.)
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lucy Ann Brown and Ruth A. Brown. Left to cherish her memories are her brothers, Herbert Hoover Brown Jr. (Cheyenne) of Fort Myers, FL; Michael Thomas Brown of Fort Myers, FL; William L. Brown of Fort Myers, FL and Roscoe N. Brown of Fort Myers, FL. Her sisters, Mary Alice Brown (Alphonso) of Lehigh Acres, FL; Georgia A. Brown of Orlando, FL; Constance D. Brown of Fort Myers, FL; Beverly D. Brown of Orlando, FL; Sonia P. Reeves (Clarence) of Fort Myers, FL; Sonda D. Roberson (Charles) of Lehigh Acres, FL; 2 aunts, Minnie Lee Eluett of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and Annie Lee Johnson of Eastman, GA.; an uncle, Herman Brown Jr. of Eastman, GA. She also leaves a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, cousins, stepchildren and friends.

You were an amazing & dear friend and coworker @ LCEC to my father, B.L. Lowell and a schoolmate (Riverdale) and friend to my sister, Kimberly (Kim Lowell) Blake. Though we only met once at Sears your kindness made a lasting impression and I knew I was before a woman of God. May your family find comfort in knowing the lives you touched and the hearts you warmed and the words of comfort to those who were going through struggles. Our deepest sympathy & may God comfort your family today, tomorrow & the days to come. Jerome & Sherry Upshaw
