Delia Mae Guyton was born August 25, 1922 in Tallahassee, Florida to Clara Moore and Abe Hopson.
Delia Mae succumbed to death January 15, 2014 at the Blessed age of 91 years old. She attended Georgia schools. Delia Mae Guyton was a FAITHFUL Member of First Born Church and was an Evangelist for over 20 years ministering to everyone she came in contact with and sharing the Word of God. Delia enjoyed local singing groups and encouraged local talent to perform at her church, and also participated in the grandparent program of Lee County Public Schools during the 1980's & 1990's at Franklin Park & Allen Park Elementary, among other schools.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elder Willie Guyton; her two sons, Allen Bell Jr. & Melvin Crumedy Sr.; brothers Abe Hopson Jr., Zeb Hopson, and George Hopson; sisters Mary Adams, Etta Lee Ford, Frances Pope and Ruby Mae Allen; step children, Wilhemina, Alberta, Fred Lee and J.W. (Livingston Ky.) Guyton, all of Fort Myers, Florida, that she helped raise and loved dearly. Followed by a host of grandchildren and great-grands, nieces, nephews, other family members; her godson, Terry Hall; special friends, The "Highland Circle" neighbors, and her church family at First Born.
