Mrs. Ammie Mitchell was born in Greene County, Georgia to the union of the late Adelle and Essie B. Baugh.
She met and married Freddie Mitchell, at an early age, to this union six children were born and one son inherited.
Ammie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized into the body of Christ by the late Reverend O. S. Dotson at New Springfield Baptist Church in Siloam, Georgia.
In this walk of life Ammie never met a stranger. All who ate at her table and came to her home were escorted in with a heartfelt welcome. Nurturing and giving were her greatest attributes. She lived truly by the old adage she would give you "the shirt from her back".
