On June 9, 2010 in Fort Myers, Florida, Frances Elizabeth Thompson departed this life to await the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Frances Elizabeth Thompson was born May 18, 1926 in Colquitt, Georgia (Miller County) to late Mrs. Leona (Bessie Adkins) Peterson and Charlie King.
At an early age she moved to Ft. Myers, Florida and joined the Jerusalem M.B. Church where she was a loyal and faithful servant for many years.
Elizabeth Thompson has been one flesh with her loving husband, Laurie Thompson for 34 years.
Elizabeth was a very loving and caring woman, she could lift anyone’s spirit with a kind word or humorous response. “She loved to make you laugh”. She was never to busy for anyone, someone that you could always depend on. She was truly loved by many.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Mrs. Leona Peterson and Charlie King; son, Willie James Johnson; three sisters, Everlean Griffin, Delia Jackson, Mary J. Jones.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her husband, Deacon Laurie Thompson; son, Minister Larry Wimbush (Ruby) all of Fort Myers, Florida; brother, Woodrow Williford of Attapulgus, Georgia; sisters, Mincy Huges of Orangeburg, South Carolina, Poly King Dale of Albany Georgia, Cleotha King Bolden of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Marie Johnson, Mertha Mae Thompson, Lorriane Thompson all of Fort Myers, Florida, Geneva Tallerico, Lucretia Thompson of New York City; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
