Funeral services: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 23, 2011 at First Missionary Baptist Church, 203 S. 3rd Street, Immokalee, Florida. Viewing will take place 9:30 a.m. - until service time, the morning of the funeral.
A Time To Be Born: Mary Lou Burgess was born on June 5, 1935 in Mobile, Alabama to the late Ulysses and Denner Burgess.
A Time To Live: Mary received her education through the public School system of Mobile County Alabama. She later in life relocated to Immokalee Florida, where she worked in the Agricultural Industry for many years.
A Time To Love: The year of 1968 Mary met Freddie Cain, whom she set out to share life to the fullest with love and laughter.
A Time To Die: On Monday July 11,2011, the Mary heard her Master call, He took her peacefully into his arms. She was Preceded in death her parents, Ulysses and Denner Burgess, two brothers, Clarence and Eugene Burgess, Sister, Leslie Thomas.
A Time To Mourn: Those left to cherish the precious memories of Mary are: her lifelong companion, Freddie Cain of Immokalee Fl.; daughters, Betty (Gordon) Scott of St. Petersburg, Fl, Margaret (Robert) Hines, Edna (Jessie) Walker, and Minnie Burgess all of Immokalee, Fl, sons, Edward (Jurusha) Burgess of Jacksonville, Fl., Willie C., Clement Young, Charles and Freddie Burgess, all of Immokalee, Fl, sisters, Katie Thomas of Mobile, Al, Minnie Johnson of Immokalee, Fl ;brother, Clement Burgess of N.Y., 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom will miss her dearly.
