Obituary

 Larry Charles Chaney was born  September 3, 1951, in Fort Myers, Florida to the late Irene Elizabeth Chaney and the late John Newton Chaney.  He departed this life on February 18, 2016 at home.

He was preceded in death by sibling; John Chaney and Bobbi Jean Chaney.

At an early age, he joined t. Hermon Baptist Church, where remained faithful until deciding to attend St. John Missionary Baptist Church.  He graduated from 

Dunbar High School in 1969 and continued to be faithful to the sports of Dunbar until his death.

He leaves to cherish his daughter: Chuvalo Matthews Kelly (Kevin) of Orlando, Florida; two granddaughters, Re’Jai Smith and De’Najai Kelly of Orlando, Florida; his sisters, Pam Cheeseborough, Vivian Brown and Patricia Knowles (Curtis) of Fort Myers, Florida; brothers, James Chaney Sr. (Elizabeth) and Raymond Chaney of Fort Myers, Florida. A host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great-nephews, cousins, friends and relatives.
