Obituary

Donnie James was born on August 11, 1949 in Fort Myers, Florida to the union of the late Milton James and Carrie Joe Nichols James (Deceased).

Donnie was educated in the Lee County School System and graduated from Dunbar High School. Donnie accepted Christ and was a member of St. John First Missionary Baptist Church.

In 1997, he met the love of his life, Regina Kelly and was joined in holy matrimony November 24, 2001. This union has stood the test of time and death has parted them on Tuesday, December 9, 2014.

Donnie leaves to cherish in memories: His loving wife of 17 years, Regina James; A devoted daughter, Jacara; Two loving sons, Willie & Eugene; Two brothers, Donald James and Willie Joe James; One sister, Nancy Jackson (Robert); Three deceased brothers: Milton James Jr., Johnny Frank James, & Ralph James Sr.; Mother-in-law, Mary Braxton (Jimmy); Father-in-law, Charles Carothers (Emma); Three sister-in-laws, Shuntay Brown, Nicole Williams & Lacie Kelly; One brother-in-law, Jamarr Braxton; God children, Davian Williams, Raine Lee, Destiny Smith, Synione Alexander & Oscar Alexander, Jr.; Special friends to include: Pastor Charlie Udell, Danny Williams, Sr., Edward Condry, Emmett Bryson, Emory Williams, Oscar Alexander, Kenny Lewis, Jessie Florence & William Kelly as well as a host of nieces, nephews & friends.
