Verlee Gillis Walcott was born March 20, 1947 to the late Reverend Curley Lee Gillis and the late Rosa Lee Butts Gillis.

She attended public schools in Georgia. Verlee was married Titus J. Walcott.

Life came to an end on January 18, 2014.

She leaves to cherish her memories: four children, John Gillis (Michelle), John Thomas (Tae), Brenda Goff (Leon), and Samantha Walcott all of Fort Myers, Florida; two sisters, Nellie Ruth Perry of Gainesville, Florida, Lee Turner (LD) of Fort Myers, Florida; one brother, Wardall Gillis of Gainesville, Florida, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grands, 3 great great-grands and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, close friends and co-workers.
