Wilbur House was born on June 2, 1938, to the Archie House Sr. and Daisy McNearly House in Quincy, Fl.  He attended school in Gadsen County. He was skilled heavy equipment operator for more than 25 years.

Wilbur was united in marriage to Barbara on April 23, 1985, in Ft. Myers, Fla.

Cherished memories are left to his beloved wife, Barbara House, his brother, Elder Archie House Jr. (Viola) of Fort Myers, Fl., Theodore Love (Shirley) of Lakeland, Florida; sister, Mattie Lawrence of Gretna, Fl; three son, Wilbur House Jr., Walter Clark and Melvin Scurry of Ft. Myers, Fl; five daughters, Carolyn Navarre (Arthur), Vanessa Hendry (Leon), Diamond House of Ft. Myers, Fl.; twelve grandchildren; one great grandchild; a devoted mother-in-law, Addie McDuffy (Lloyd) of Arcadia, Florida; eleven brothers-in-law, seven sisters-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers and devoted friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Jerusalem Church of God in Christ, 2405 Ben Street, Ft. Myers, Florida.

Visitation will take place 6-8 p.m., Friday, September 3, 2010 at Hickson's Funeral Home.
