Carthenia J Williams was born on January 7, 1942, to Fred Addison and Bertha Johnson in Florence, SC. The Lord called her home to rest on Saturday, September 28, 2013, at Tidewell Hospice, Port Charlotte, FL.
Carthenia accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member at St. Mark M.B. Church where she served as a Deaconess, Choir Director, and a Sunday school teacher until making her church home Worldwide Ministries, Inc.
After graduating from high school she moved to Ansonia, CT where she married Joe Keenan and raised a family. She later met and was united in Holy Matrimony to her loving devoted friend John H (Billy) Williams. They moved to Punta Gorda, FL where they shared a wonderful life together.
Carthenia was a humble woman of God that had a compassion for music, people, and rejoice in knowing the Lord. Her legacy of love will live in us forever. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Cornelia Johnson, brothers Fred Addison Jr., and Elmore Johnson and two sons Jeffrey Johnson and Angelo Williams.
She has left behind to cherish her memories her husband John H (Billy) Williams. Four sons: Morgan Johnson (Ansonia, CT), Kenneth (Marlo) Keenan, Todd (Lynette) Keenan (Marietta, GA), Terry (Valeria) Lloyd (Marianna, FL). Four daughters: Mala Bell (Fort Myers, FL) Felecia Williams (Orlando, FL), Jessica Hearns (Fort Worth, TX), and Candice Clark (Orlando, FL). Three brothers: Edward Addison, Ernest (Brenda) Addison, and Samuel Addison. Two sisters: Frances Addison, Norma Gary (Florence, SC). One brother in law: Nolan (Mejonna) Ward, (Port Charlotte, FL). She also leaves thirty-seven grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
