Benson of Barnstable. Cherished brother of Richard A. of Weymouth & the late Charles E. (DPD) of Dedham, Loving grandfather of Crystal Santasaver of Fall River & great grandfather of Sadie, Donovan & David Santasaver. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, inlaws & friends. Visiting hour will be held Saturday afternoon from 12:30-1:30 at the Alexander F. Thomas & Sons Funeral Home, 45 Common St., WALPOLE, followed by a service at the funeral home at 1:30. Interment at Gethsemane Cemetery, West Roxbury. Relatives & friends invited. Joseph was a US Marine Corp. Veteran, Retired BPD Tactical Division, recipient of many awards including the Walter Scott Medal for Valor, First Director of Training for Boston Police Canine Unit & 43 other departments.
