GILLIS, Joseph H. Of Plainville, formerly of Walpole, passed peacefully on November 12th at the age of 88. Beloved husband of Mary T. (Gordon) of 56 years. Devoted father of Maryellen Gillis of North Attleborough, John J. of N. Sebago, ME., Stephen P. Gillis and his wife Maureen Kirkpatrick of Walpole, Joseph H. Jr. of Portland, ME., and Laurie A. Gillis-West (MSP) and her husband Christopher of East Longmeadow and the late baby Mary. Cherished brother of Thomas P. Gillis and his wife Susan of Marshfield, Paul of Holland, MA. & the late John, Mary Goff, Charles and Jean Flynn. Loving and devoted Papa of 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandson & many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday evening from 5-8pm at the Alexander F. Thomas & Sons Funeral Home, 45 Common St., Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 10:30 at St. Martha's Church, 227 South St., Plainville. Interment at St. Jospeh 's Cemetery, West Roxbury. Joe was a proud Korean War Coast Guard Veteran and a Local 103 IBEW of 61 years.
