Tillinghast, Walter C., passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 24, 2015, surrounded by his family. He leaves behind his loving and caring Wife, Barbara L. Tillinghast. They were blessed with four children.  Susan A. Tillinghast Sears and her Husband, Roger, Scot A. Tillinghast and his wife, Deb, Robert W. Tillinghast and his wife Renee, and Jonathan E. Tillinghast and his wife Krissy. A Generation of 11 Grandchildren.  Christine, Ryan, Jaclyn, Katelyn Joshua, Matthew, Nicole, Jordan, Lyla, Silas, and Elias. Great Grandchildren: Caleb, Autumn,Sadie, and Everley. Walter was involved  in  several organizations,  Bryant College, Women and Infants Hospital, Home for little Wanderers, Friends of St. Patrick. He was a man of honor and truth.  He believed in being the best in whatever he did.  Walter was fearless of expressing new ideas to help the organizations he was involved in. Most especially, he honored and loved his wife, Barbara for 56 years.  His legacy will be carried on through his Family. Walter has left a permanent impression on our hearts forever. “Whatever God brings you to, He will bring you through”.

Visiting hours will be held from 4:00-8:00PM Sunday evening at Alexander F. Thomas and Sons Funeral Home, 45 Common Street, Walpole, MA 02081. Funeral will be Monday, June 29, 2015 at 11:00 am at The Anglican Church of the Redeemer, 31 Hayward Street, Franklin, MA 02038.

Dear Barbara and family,
We are so sorry for loss of Walter.He was an amazing person, who always had a smile on his face .He will be greatly missed.
Our hearts are with you. May you find comfort in knowing that He is no longer in pain and discomfort.

I am truly sorry for your loss. Walter was a great Man. A Godly man that will be truly missed . Find comfort Barbara in knowing you were a special part of a well lived life.
