Sally's arms reached everywhere and she drew you in because her heart was big enough to keep you there. I will miss my dear friend deeply. I will miss her genuine laugh, her thoughtful words, her hilarious stories, and mostly her kind eyes. My deepest condolences to Sally's loved ones on this loss. She will forever live in our hearts and gently guide us to be better and live life as it should be, fully. I love you Sally, God bless you because you are by far the hardest working angel.

I am so sorry to hear of Sally's passing. She was one of the first moms I met here in Walpole. We served on the board of ECDC Nursery school way back when Hope and Jonathan were young and in pre-school with my kids. Those were the easy days, we just did not know it back then..I have fond memories of working with Sally and getting to know her over the years. I can only hope the fond times you shared bring you some measure of comfort during this difficult time..

sincerely,
Lori Celentano and Family

My sincere sympathy to Sally's family on the loss of your wife, mother, sister and daughter. I met the O'Connell's when I attended Holy Name High School in Escanaba. I graduated with Gale, knew Jeff and Sally (who was in the same class as my brother and sister), and became a good friend of Kay's. I am so sorry for your loss.

To the Kelley and O'connell families: I am so sorry to hear of Sallys passing. The Harris's and O'connells grew up together, living a block apart. My sister Julie has been a good friend of Sally's and kept in touch with her, (spending week-ends in Chicago with "the girls"). Julie will be devastated, because she is at a mission in Honduras right now, and may not find out about Sally's passing until she gets home. My thoughts and prayers are with Sallys families.

"I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well. Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before. How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again!" Henry Scott Holland.

To the O'Connell and Kelley Families, my deepest sympathy. I will always remember Sally for her warm heart and great sense of humor. Though she has departed this earthly life, may you find comfort in knowing her spirit will remain around you until you are reunited by the grace of our heavenly father. You'll know you are in heaven when you hear her laughter and feel her loving arms around you once again. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
Love and prayers, Mary

Ed, Mary, Gail, Jeff, Kay, Susan and Sharon. There are not enough words to describe Sally. Her thoughtfulness when Lee was so sick was special to him. He so looked forward to her telephone calls. I was out to the cemetery and asked him to take care of her as he is taking care of our daughter. Love to all of you. May God bless you and I will say a special prayer for her. Char.

Dear Peter, Jonathan, Hope, Adam and Anoosh,
Sally was a beautiful woman, inside and out. I admired her dovotion as a mom and the importance of capturing the many stages in your lives with beautiful portraits. It was always a pleasure working with Sally, her creativity and sense of humor made each session so much fun. During these many years I became very fond of Sally and she has always remained in my thoughts and prayers. The most beautiful portrait session of all was on October 8, 2010. I was deeply touched by the love that I felt connecting through all of you. I am honored and grateful to have been chosen to create your beautiful family memories .
Sally will always remain in my heart. I pray GOD will comfort you and give you strength through the days ahead. In deepest sympathy, Janine Twomey

We are very sad that Sally has left us for a better place. We have very special memories as neighbors when the Kelley''s lived on Main Street and we lived behind them. We had a special gate that connected our houses. We had our "traditions" of spending Halloween together and coloring Easter eggs. Adam, Arnoush, Jonathan and Hope, you are very lucky to have had such a great mom. She glowed when she was around you. Pete, I always loved the way you called her "babe", such a term of endearment. We will miss her dearly, LUV always

Dear Peter and family, Sally will always have a special place in my heart. We were inseparable when we were young. In the last couple of years we renewed our friendship and cherished the time we had together. Sally seemed to be the catalyst that brought people back together. She has entered into eternal life and waits for you to be united with her again. Hold her close in your heart, as she will never be far from you. -julie bishop

To the Kelleys and O’Connells:
I worked with Sally at the Escanaba Daily Press in the 1980s. We were young reporters. We both moved away and lost touch. She was a great reporter and wonderful, caring person. She will be missed by many.
