Dear Cam and the Niethold and Pike Families - John & I cannot tell you how much we regard. respect, and truly love your parents. We think the world of both. Such fun times we had. John and I would always go over on Saturday for Cousin George & Fred to select our power ball numbers; at first it was pulling numbers on paper out of a jar. Then it was pulling small wooden squares out of a can. Tickets would be filled out and Cousin George would play them on his way home. When John & I were married, John took me over to their house to meet Fred & Cam. We were all talking and Fred asked "Carol, have you bought bicycle chains for the tires on the bikes for the boys?" I asked what are you talking about? There is no such thing; I've never heard of chains for bicycle tires. "Sure we have them up here. We have a lot of snow up here and the paper boys have chains for their tires." There can't be anything like that. You're joking. "No I'm not. Just think about the severe weather we have; it's not like the snow down South." So, after several more minutes of this discussion, I finally relented and said well, I guess I will have to check into that.(I never had any response from John.) After I made my statement, Fred started howling with laughter! He never let me forget it. I feel like I have known Fred & Cam forever. They are dear, dear friends. They are honorable human beings. Anyone would be proud to call them their friend. We will always remember their friendship. John and Fred rode together to Westinghouse to work. He is now with our Lord, Cousin George, Brother Bill, Uncle Chris and of course "Nana" and Dad. We love you Cam. We will be remember all our times we shared. May God bless you and the entire family.

With Love,
John & Carol

I have wonderful memories of Uncle Fred. He was a very caring, loving Man. Always wanting to give rides on his tractor and take trips to get ice cream. My children were also very lucky to have known him . He has made some beautiful furniture which we still have in our house. The Christmas wreaths each year were also beautiful. He will be truly missed. Ann Marie, Mark, Patrick and Kelsey

Dear Camilla and Family,

I'm writing, in behalf of my Mom (Amelia Moreno Olsen). She wanted me to express her deepest sympathy on the loss of your beloved Fred. She said to tell you that you and Fred were always her 'favorite' cousins, She will miss not being able to send Fred a birthday card, on their mutual April 8th birthday. She sends all her love to each of you. I'd like to add my own condolences too, and pray that God will bless you with strength and love, as you endure this temporary parting, until you all meet again in Heaven. Much love to you all, "Mimi" and her Daughter Penny

I'm been very lucky to have Fred as a Father in-law. What a wonderful man. Most of all to see the love he shared for his grandchildren. Grammpy gave and shared so much with them. They adored him and he them. Honestly, I've never seen so much of a connection as they had with him. BTW, they feel the same with their Grammy. They both had a lot to do with thr shaping of who their grandchildren are today.
Not many people are fortunate enough to see that kind of bond and unconditional love as Grammpy and Grammy have for them. BTW, did I mention they spoiled them too?

I was welcomed into this family over 30 years ago. Fred and I became friends and allies not just father and daughter in law. Hanging out in the shed with him and George and getting into "trouble" because of it..... So many years and so many memories, being loved and accepted for who you are is a gift he gave me. I will miss him - I will miss his smile. His legacy will live on with those of us who remember and treasure him. He loved well and was well loved!

Camilla & Family,
We are so sorry to hear about Fred's passing. He was such a kind person and always had a smile on his face. We will always remember him by his famous Pinecones he always made us and the banana hanger he made for all of us here! He was such a thoughtful person and we will miss him dearly!
