CASTRECHINI, Ben F. Of Walpole, formerly of Westwood, May 6, age 84. Beloved husband of Edith (Pacitti) of 60 years. Devoted father of Diane Smith and her husband James of Smithfield, RI, Richard and his wife Barbara of Onset, Debra Bencal and her husband Michael of Salem, Randall and his wife Donna of North Attleboro and Martin and his wife Doreen of Milford. Cherished brother of Eleanor Hakkarainan of Ware, and the late Alec, Frank, Mary Maglione, Olga Mula and Irene Zancewicz. Loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Alexander F. Thomas & Sons Funeral Home, 45 Common St., WALPOLE, Monday morning at 8, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament Church, Walpole, at 9. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday evening from 4-8. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. Late WWII Army Military Police ETO Veteran, American Legion Post 320, Westwood. My uncle Benny always called me Butch and let me ride in the dump truck as a kid. One of the nicest, most sincere people I every knew. I have never known a better man.
