Jean, Steve, Amanda, Jeffery & Joshy,

I am truly sorry for your loss. I was never fortunate enough to meet your Mother/Grammy but have only heard the kindest of words about her.
Try to find some comfort about how loved she was and who she''''s with now.
RIP Barbara.

I can't tell you all how shocked I was to get the notice of Barb's death from the College. Barb and I lived together in Emily Abbey, and my husband and I often "dated" with her and John.
Because I hadn't heard from her in a while, I called her about two weeks ago when she told me that she was going in for a back operation. She sounded resolved to try to get an improvement to her mobility and quality of life. I never thought that it could be life threatening.

She was always so proud of all of you all, and she loved going to Mattapoisett in the summer. We spent some wonderful time with her at our 50th Anniversary.
I will miss her positive and adventurous spirit. How she loved traveling with John's sister!
You all are in my thoughts and prayers.
With sincerest condolences.

Dear Hill Family

I will miss Barbara with her smile and warmth on Sunday mornings as she walked into church at the side door entrance. She would sit and talk with us a few moments before heading to the sanctuary for the morning service. She greeted many and ushers whenever she could.

I will also miss her partnering with me during our yard sale events over the last several years. It was there we got to talking about books to read and authors to look for as well as insure the room was kept as in good shape during the sales as it could be. Barbara, I believe, really enjoyed greeting and meeting new as well as familiar faces who came to check out the book room. We were a great team during those years.

I, personally, will miss her smile and friendship as we got to know each other better. I watched her struggle and know that she is now at peace watching over us all smiling at us as we celebrate her life with love and affection

Steve, Jean, & whole family,
I am truly sorry to hear about Barbara. I will have been retired one year at the end of May. I had no idea that Barbara was sick. We had great visits when she came into Marlyn''s Hair Shop. If I wasn''t busy I would sit with her and we would talk. She always gave me update and show me pictures of your family Steve. They were all so big and getting older and more beautiful. Many times we sat at the same table at Chamber with Joe & Glo Denneen. Heard in great detail about her river trip in Europe. She was always telling us about her wonderful family that she loved so much. I''m sure she will be missed by all. Prayers are with you all - Luu Iagatta-Everett
