Charles F. Knight, 56, a longtime resident of Walpole, died Saturday, September 3, at his home after a long battle with brain cancer.  He was the beloved husband of Susan L. (Lee) Knight of Walpole, formerly of Milton.  Born in Boston, he was raised in West Roxbury and was a graduate of Charlestown High School.  He was also a graduate of Northeastern University.  Mr. Knight lived in Walpole for over 20 years.  He worked as the controller for Gatehouse Management in Mansfield for the past 7 years.  He was an active member of the Walpole Community, serving as on the Board of Directors for the Walpole Little League, as its director of International League and as a coach of baseball, softball and soccer.  He was a fan of all Boston Sports.  An avid shopper, in his free time he enjoyed golfing, fishing, cooking and spending time at the beach.  He also was a gifted storyteller who cherished his time with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Trevor L., Zachary L. and Olivia L. Knight all of Walpole.  Son of Rita V. (Lydon) Knight of Walpole and the late Harold W. Knight.  Brother of Harry Knight, Robert J. Knight and Carol M. Knight all of Walpole and Patricia A. Cuneo of PA.  He is also survived by his in-laws, the Lee family and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Alexander F. Thomas & Sons Funeral Home, 45 Common St, WALPOLE Thursday morning at 10 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament Church, Walpole at 11AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wednesday evening 4-8 at the funeral home.
