Rev. Raymond Eugene (Buck) Adcock, age 84, of Bethpage, Tenn., passed away on July 11, 2007, at his residence.  He is survived by his wife, Effie Eden Adcock of Bethpage; son, Gary (Bonnie) Adcock of Bethpage; daughter, Jean Adcock of Bethpage; grandsons, Trevor (Kendra) Adcock, Nathan (Susan) Adcock, Troy (Kelly) Adcock, Griff (Mary Alice) Akins; sisters, Margaret Robertson of Bethpage, Beatrice Carter of Westmoreland, Sara Escue of Bethpage, Judy Hughs of Bethpage, Faye Johnson of Westmoreland, Norris Hammock of Westmoreland; brothers, Kenneth Adcock of Bethpage, Aaron Adcock of Westmoreland; great-grandchildren, Cody, Austin, Madyn, Emmitt, and Katie.  He was preceded in death his father, Lewis Adcock; mother, O’Nora Thompson Adcock; brother, Leonard Adcock.  Visitation will be 5 p.m., until 9 p.m., Thursday, July 12, 2007, and 1 p.m., until 9 p.m., Friday, July 13, 2007.  Funeral services from Rev. Adcock will be 11 a.m., Saturday, July 14, 2007, at Eulia General Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Scruggs and Guthrie Gregory officiating.  Interment will be in Eulia Cemetery. Rev. Adcock was a 3rd Degree Mason with the Bethpage Masonic Lodge. A Masonic Service will be Friday July 13 at 7 p.m.  He was World War II Veteran and he retired from Texas Boot Factory.  Rev. Adcock professed a faith in Christ on July 16, 1950, at the Leath’s Chapel Methodist Church. He joined Eulia General Baptist Church December 11, 1955.  He was called to preach in 1954. He preached his first sermon at Eulia on the first Sunday in September of 1959. He was ordained in 1963 at Pleasant Grove Church in Kentucky. He helped establish the Bethpage General Baptist Church.
William "Bill" Black, age 82, of Bethpage, Tenn., passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2007, at Sumner Regional Medical Center.  He is survived by his wife, Mary East Black of Lafayette; daughter, Phyllis A. P. Morton of Westmoreland; sons, William L. (Marie) Black, Jr., of Gallatin, Baker N. “Buzz” Black of Bethpage; brother, John P. (Celia) Black of Bethpage; step-daughters, Linda (Louie) Hewitt, Sandra (Don) Rhoads, Tammy (Jeff) Robinson and Angela Meador, all of Lafayette; step-sons, Randy, Mike, Tim and Barry East, Tony (Laurie), Jeff (Clara) and Scott (Pam) East, all of Lafayette, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his father, Garlan Neil Black; mother, Iva May Landeau Black; spouse, Elizabeth Hill Black; sisters, Gladys Maxine Black and Iva Mildred Foster; brothers, Dr. Henry Ray Black and Garlan Neil Black, Jr.  Visitation will be from 5 p.m., until 9 p.m., Wednesday, September 26, 2007, 10 a.m., until 9 p.m., Thursday, and 10 a.m., until service time on Friday.  Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Friday, September 28, 2007, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Rev. Mary Anna Boren, age 74, of Westmoreland, passed away on September 4, 2007, at Sumner Regional Medical Center.  She is survived by her husband, James Carline Boren of Westmoreland; daughters, Nancy Dodson of Westmoreland, Phylis Graves of Westmoreland, Debbie Hite of Westmoreland, Connie Hall of Bethpage, Linda Livesay of Houston, Tex.; sisters, Jane Reed of Westmoreland, Erma Wright of Whiteland, Ind.; brothers, Bobby Perry of Indianapolis, Ind., Junior Perry of Westmoreland, Gerald Perry of Westmoreland; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Morris Perry; mother, Clara Viola Mandrell Perry; sister, Ruth Harris.  Visitation will be from 5 p.m., until 9 p.m., Wednesday, September 5, 2007, 10 a.m., until 9 p.m., Thursday, and 9 a.m., until service time on Friday.  Funeral services for Mrs. Boren will be at 11 a.m., Friday, September 7, 2007, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Earl Dean Bradley, age 72, of Bethpage, passed away on October 20, 2007, at Sumner Regional Medical Center.  He is survived by his wife, Ruby M. Nancy Lee Brawner, age 63, of Westmoreland, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at Sumner Regional Medical Center.  Mrs. Brawner was employed with Bosch Manufacturing.  She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Brawner of Westmoreland; son, Joseph Adam Brawner of Westmoreland; daughter, Virginia Brawner Williams of Westmoreland; grandchildren, Jason Williams, Christina Brawner, Lucas Williams and Mathew Williams; sister, Ruth Jinright of Louisville, Ky., Betty Campbell of New Taswell, Tenn., Wanda Miller of Portland; brothers Ray Taylor and Barney Taylor of Westmoreland, Bill Taylor of Clarksville, Gordon Taylor of Gallatin.  Visitation will be 12 noon until 9 p.m., Friday, March 9, 2007, 10 a.m., until 9 p.m., Saturday, and 10 a.m., until funeral time on Sunday.  Funeral services for Mrs. Brawner will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 11, 2007, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Henry Lee Brown, age 60, of Westmoreland, passed away at his residence on August 13, 2007.  He is survived by his son, John Brown of Westmoreland; daughter, Sarah Brown of Portland; brother, William Carrol Brown of Portland; granddaughter, Savana Brown of Portland.  He was preceded in death by his father, Willard J. Brown; mother, Nellie D. Jessie Charles Butler, age 79, of Castalian Springs, Tenn., passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2007, at his residence.   Mr. Butler was a U. S. Marine  Veteran  and a former construction worker.  He is survived by his wife, Mary Agnes Butler of Castalian Springs; sons, Robert (Donna) Butler, Wayne Butler of Castalian Springs, and Tony (Kathy) Tucker of Westmoreland; daughters, Sue (Robert) Presley of Gallatin, Vickie (Billy) Kemp of Bethpage, Rhonda Lynn Butler of Houston, Tex.; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Clyde Dee Roger Carter, age 63, of Florence, Ala., passed away on April 24, 2007, at his residence.  He was the son of the late Dee and Lillie Mosley Carter.  He is survived by his son, Lee Carter of Nashville; daughters, Mary Berryman of Florence Ala., and Jennifer Carter of Nashville; sister, Margaret Carver of Nashville; 4 grandchildren.  Graveside services will be Friday, April 27, 2007, at Rippy Cemetery in Westmoreland.
Lallie Mae McDole Cates, age 74, of Westmoreland, passed away on December 7, 2007.  She is survived by her son, Roger Cates of Westmoreland; daughters, Elaine Cates and Nancy Gourley, both of Indianapolis, Ind.; brother, Bud McDole of Westmoreland; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Almer and Zella Key McDole; husband, Jimmy Carlton Cates.   Visitation will be 7 p.m., until 9 p.m., Saturday, December 8, 2007, and 8 a.m., until 9 p.m., Sunday.  Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday, December 10, 2007, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Owen Clark, age 68, of Westmoreland, passed away March 14, 2007, at his residence.   He is survived by his daughter, Donna Darcel of Indianapolis, Ind.  Private funeral services for Mr. Clark have been held.  Mr. Clark was the owner of Clark’s Market in the Providence Community, Westmoreland.
Lucille Douglas Clark, age 75, of Westmoreland, passed away November 17, 2007, at Sumner Regional Medical Center.  She is survived by her husband, Odell Clark of Westmoreland; son, Nathan Clark of Westmoreland ; nephew and niece, Tony and Debra Douglas of Westmoreland.  She was preceded in death by her father, Luther Douglas; mother, Amy Graves Douglas; daughter, Shirley Clark; brothers, Freelie Douglas and Odell Douglas.  Visitation will be 1 p.m., until 9 p.m., Monday, November 19, 2007, 10 a.m., until 9 p.m., Tuesday, and 9 a.m., until service time on Wednesday.  Funeral services for Mrs. Clark will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 21, 2007, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Freddie O. Cook, Sr., age 68, of Bethpage, Tenn., passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at Sumner Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Cook retired from Ratliff Trucking Co.  He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.  He is survived by his wife, Betty Cook of Westmoreland; sons, Freddie Cook, Jr., L.E. (Junebug) Freeman; daughter, Melissa L. Moore; 5 grandchildren.  Visitation will be from 5 p.m., until 9 p.m., Thursday, February 15, 2007, 9 a.m., until 9 p.m., Friday, February 16, 2070, and 9 a.m., until service time on Saturday.  Memorial Services for Mr. Cook will be 11 a.m., Saturday, February 17, 2007, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Heitt and Bro. Jimmy Creekmore officiating.  Interment will be in Bradley Cemetery.
Georgia Reeves Maggart Cornwell, formerly of Westmoreland, died February 13, 2007, at her residence in Columbus, Georgia, after an extended illness. She is the daughter of the late Ellis T. and Zela Moncrief Maggart.
 
Reeves graduated from Middle Tennessee State Teachers College, aka Middle Tennessee State University. Reeves was a member of the Eastern Star for more than fifty years. She was an accomplished pianist and played for the Westmoreland United Methodist Church where she had been a member since childhood and she also played for the Oak Grove United Methodist Church. But her profession in life was a school teacher at Westmoreland where she was highly respected by the students, parents and colleagues alike.
 
Reeves was married to Cyrus Simmons until his death in 1975. After his death, she married Cary Cornwell. Reeves retired from the Sumner County Board of Education, and she and Cary traveled extensively until his passing. She moved to Columbus, Georgia, to be close to her family after the onset of her illness, where she resided until death.

Reeves is survived by a nephew, William T. Maggart, Jr. of Phenix City, Alabama, and a niece, Elizabeth Genevose of Lomita, California. Honorary Pallbearer is Bob Bowden and Active Pallbearers are Jim Williams, Charles Isham, Dana Bonner, Jay Bowden, Harry Law and David Seay with Rev. George Reed and Rev. Larry Burke officiating.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m., to 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 23, 2007, at Woodard Funeral Home in Westmoreland, Tenn. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 24, 2007, from the Westmoreland United Methodist Church, Westmoreland, and interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Hillis Ray Creasy, age 64, of Hartsville, Tenn., passed away on July 22, 2007, at Trousdale Medical Center.  He is survived by his wife, Mary Sue Slayton Creasy of Gallatin, Tenn., sons, Johnny Ray Creasy of Adolphus, Ky., and Jimmy Allen Creasy of Hartsville; daughters, Phyllis Susan Humes of Gallatin, and Anna Joan Lawhorn of Portland; sister, Carol Sue Ausbrooks of Scottsville, Ky.; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his father, J. W. Creasy; mother, Ruby Juanita Blankenship; sister, Janice Creasy Carter; grandchild, Jordan Matthew Creasy.  Visitation will be from 3 p.m., until 9 p.m., Monday, July 23, 2007, 10 a.m., until 9 pm., Tuesday, July 24, 2007, and 10 a.m., until service time on Wednesday.  Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2007, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. John Silas Creasy, Jr., age 77, of Westmoreland, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2007,  at the Westmoreland Care & Rehabilitation Center.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Silas & Delia Burnley Creasy, and a grandson, Caleb Troutt.  He is survived by his wife, Shirley Parrish Creasy; son, John Frank (Tyla) Creasy; daughters, Deanna (Blake) Henderson and Paula (Mark) Troutt; and grandchildren, Ren Creasy, McKayla Troutt, and John-Heath Creasy, all of Westmoreland.  He was born July 11, 1929, in Westmoreland at the home of his grandparents, John Franklin and Nolie Angel Creasy.  A 1948 graduate of Westmoreland High School, he served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict as a Flight Engineer on a B-29. After service, he began a 13-year stint with the Standard Register Company, traveling extensively through its southeast territory as its senior Customer Service Representative. In 1967, he changed careers and began working with the US Postal Service as a rural mail carrier in Westmoreland, retiring from this position in 1994.  He was also the owner of Dunroamin’ Farms, where he raised and sold registered Angus cattle.  He was a member of the Westmoreland Church of Christ and a 50-year member of the Trammel Masonic Lodge in Westmoreland.  Visitation will be 10 a.m., until 9 p.m., Friday, March 23, 2007, and 10 a.m., until service time on Saturday.  Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2007, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with interment following in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Montra Denning, age 89, of Nashville, formerly of Westmoreland, passed away December 15, 2007.  She is survived by her sons, Robert (Judy) Denning of Nashville, Phillip Denning of Joplin, Mo.; daughters, Betty (John) Webb of Nashville, Patricia (Bill) Cunningham of Cleveland, O., Mary Denning of Cleveland, O.; daughter-in-law, Mary Sue Denning of Westmoreland; sister, Evelyn Mandrell.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Denning; parents, Joe and Ida Davis Keen; sons, Billy Joe and James Denning.  There is no visitation scheduled.  Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at Fairfield Cemetery with Br. Larry Emery officiating.  Mrs. Denning was a member of the Fairfield United Methodist Church.
Barbara Dickerson, age 69, of Old Highway 31E, Westmoreland, passed away on January 29, 2007, at the University Medical Center in Lebanon, Tenn.  She is survived by son, Ricky Dickerson of Westmoreland; daughter, Judy Farley of Westmoreland, 3 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be 11 a.m., until 9 p.m., Wednesday, January 31, 2007, 10 a.m., until 9 p.m., Thursday, February 1, 2007, and 10 a.m., until service time on Friday.  Funeral services will be Friday, February 2, 2007, at 2 p.m., from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Joseph William Diehl, age 59, of the Siloam Community, Westmoreland, Tenn., passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2007.   Mr. Diehl was a disabled Vietnam Veteran.  He is survived by a son, Joseph William Diehl III, of Pennsylvania; a daughter, Jo Marie Diehl of Pennsylvania; a sister, Carol Lamay of New York; a step-brother, John Diehl of New York; and by 5 grandchildren.  There are no services planned.
Verna Marie Fleming, age 83, of Bethpage, passed away November 13, 2007, at Sumner Regional Medical Center.  She is survived by her daughters, Doris and Scott Rippy of Bethpage, Glenda and Eddie Newport of Gallatin; sister, Sue Leath of Westmoreland, Norma Trisler of Mooresville, Ind.; brothers, Billy Brown, E. Dale James Gillette, age 64, of Lafayette, Tenn., passed away November 20, 2007, at Sumner Regional Medical Center.  He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Watson; mother, Alta LaForce.  Mr. Gillette was born in Syracuse, New York. Fred M. Hawkins, age 88, of Indianapolis, Ind. (formerly of Westmoreland), passed away December 4, 2007.  He is survived by his brother, James Luther Hawkins of Gallatin; sister, Mildred Risk of Indianapolis;  one nephew and three nieces.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Lattice Hawkins; son, Harold W. Coach Bobby Allen Hopkins, age 70, of Westmoreland, died on June 15, 2007, at Centennial Medical Center.  He is survived by his wife, Gretna Smith Hopkins of Westmoreland; step-sons, Bobby Scott (Diane) Smith of Watertown, Tenn., Michael Christopher Smith of Whiteville, Tenn.; step-grandchildren, Brittany, Blake and Tiffany Smith; sister-in-law, Glenda Hopkins of Lynnville, Tenn.; special friends, Carley Cunningham and Trish; several nieces and nephews; and three generations of Westmoreland school children.  He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Hopkins; mother, Thelma Burgess; son, Jeffery Allen Hopkins; brother, Billy Hopkins.  Visitation will be from 4 p.m., until 9 p.m., Saturday, June 16, 2007, from 10 a.m., until 9 p.m., Sunday, June 17, 2007, and until service time on Monday.  Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday, June 18, 2007, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Doyle Farris, Floyd Farris and Randy Wells officiating.  Interment will be in Mars Hill Cemetery, Lynnville, Tenn.  Pallbearers will be Darrin Hopkins, Steven Hopkins, Brian Keith, Steve Johns, Junior Clark and Ricky Troutt.

Bobby moved to Westmoreland just after attending Middle Tennessee State University, and he became the first football and basketball coach at Westmoreland. His career lasted until 1989 when he left basketball, but he continued teaching until he retired in 1992. He was an avid fisherman and leaves behind many fishing buddies in Westmoreland.

Emma Jean Howell, age 75, of Indianapolis, Ind., passed away March 13, 2007. She is survived by her husband, James Howell; and daughter, Teresa Lynn Denny, both of Indianapolis, Ind.. Ms. Howell is the daughter of the late David Davenport and Prudie Harrsion Davenport.  She was laid to rest in the Haysville Cemetery, Scottsville, Ky., with a private graveside service on March 18, 2007.
John F. Huard, age 72, of Westmoreland, formerly of Chicago, Ill., passed away on Monday, February 12, 2007, at his residence.  Mr. Huard retired from Peoples Gas & Light Company.  He also served in the United States Army in Alaska.  He is survived by his wife, Arlene Surma Huard of Westmoreland; son, Alan Huard of St. Joseph, Mich.; daughters, Debbie (Earl) Banfield of Houston, Tex., Roslyn Ellis of Bethpage; sister-in-law, Ruth Huard; grandchildren, Carly Gorski of Canton, Mich., Rebecca Ellis of Bethpage; nephew, Jerry Huard; niece, Kathleen Huard.  Visitation will be 6 p.m., until service time on Friday.  Memorial Services for Mr. Huard will be 7 p.m., Friday, February 16, 2007, at The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home.

Ruby Lee Carney Newman, age 92, of Red Boiling Springs, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at The Palace Nursing Home. She was born on December 29, 1914, in Castalian Springs, Tenn.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Paul W. Newman (1994), mother, Hattie Lee Maynard Carney; father, John Luther Carney, Sr.; brother, Woodrow Carney; and sisters-in-law, Mrs. Woodrow (Birdie Burton) Carney and Mrs. John Luther (Jewel Smith) Carney, Jr.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Wayne and Jewel Richardson Newman; a grandson, Kevin Andrew Newman; a granddaughter, Kelly Dianne Newman (Lee) Loyd; great-grandsons, Dylan Lee Loyd and Colton Wayne Loyd, all of Lafayette, Tenn.; a great granddaughter, Taylor Marie Newman of Trussville, Ala; brothers, Thomas (Beulah Martin) Carney of Columbia, S.C., and John Luther Carney Jr., of Jacksonville, Fla.

She attended Barthelia School and Hartsville High School in Trousdale County. She worked in Nashville at Loveman’s and Cain-Sloan Department Stores. She was a member of the Hendersonville Church of Christ for many years and later attended Lafayette Church of Christ until her health began to fail a few years ago.

Bobby Tuttle, age 82, of Westmoreland, Tenn., passed away on July 14, 2007, at his residence.  His is survived by his wife, Ivy Ruth Hammock Tuttle of Westmoreland; sons, Ricky Tuttle of Westmoreland, Tony Tuttle of Westmoreland; step-sons, Buddy (Deanna) Goodrum of Bethpage, Donnie (Laciey) Goodrum of Westmoreland; step-daughters, Wanda Tuttle of Westmoreland, Phyllis (Joe) Bennett of Gallatin; brother, Frank Tuttle of Westmoreland; sister, Betty Carter of Westmoreland; 14 grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 8 step-great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Tuttle; mother, Ivy Carter; step-mother, Rachel Anderson ; daugher, Linda Bonds; brothers, Dennis and Bill Tuttle.  Visitation will be from 4 p.m., until 9 p.m., Sunday, July 15, 2007, and 10 a.m., until service time on Monday.  Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Monday, July 16, 2007, from The Chapel of Woodward Funeral Home with Bro. Guthrie Gregory and Bro. Clinton Davenport officiating.  Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Mr. Bob Tuttle is retired from the TN State Hwy Dept.
Early Ray Ward, age 75, of Bethpage, Tenn., passed away on July 7, 2007, at his residence.  He is survived by his wife, Mary Catherine Ware of Bethpage; sons and daughters-in-law, William Ray "Bill" and Nancy Ward and Tony and Pam Owen, all of Bethpage; brother, Clayton Eugene Ward of Haywood Valley, Calif.; sister, Lois Carter of Summerville, Ga.; grandchildren, Brandon Owen, Kyle Owen and Eric Kemp.  He was preceded in death by his father, John Howard Ware; mother, Lucy Debter Ward; brothers, James Howard, Royce and J.T. Ward; sisters, Perlie Faye Ward and Margaret Krocket.  Visitation will be 2 p.m., until 9 p.m., Sunday, July 8, 2007, and 10 a.m., until service time on Monday.  Funeral service will be 2 p.m.,. Tommy Brummitt officiating.  Interment will be in Sumner Memorial Gardens in Gallatin, Tenn.
Dorothy Coker Wireman, age 70, of Westmoreland, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2007, at Sumner Regional Medical Center.   She is survived by her son, Michael Mason of Westmoreland; brother, Robert Coker of Lafayette.  Visitation will be 5 p.m., until 9 p.m., Friday, December 14, 2007, 10 a.m., until 9 p.m., on Saturday, and 10 a.m., until service time on Sunday.  Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, December 16, 2007, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home.  Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery.
Melvin Woodall, age 59, of Franklin, Ky. (formerly of Portland, Tenn.), passed away October 29, 2007, at his residence.  He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Woodall of Franklin, Ky.; daughters: Christy Sago (Joe Taylor) of Shelbyville, Tenn., Melinda Jenkins of Winchester, Tenn.; son, Melvin (Sarah) Woodall, Jr. of Portland; step-son, Donald Givens of Franklin, Ky.; sister, Frances McCray of Westmoreland; son-in-law, Dan Hicks of Westmoreland; grandchildren, Misty and Joshua Sago of Shelbyville, Tenn., Dylan, Gary and Randy Sanders of Winchester, Tenn.  He was preceded in death by his father, Odell Woodall; mother, Leona Groves Woodall.  Visitation will be 3 p.m., until 9 p.m., Tuesday, October 30, 2007, and 10 a.m., until service time on Wednesday.  Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Wednesday, October 31, 2007, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Eld. Hugh Edward Woodard, Sr., age 81, of Russellville, Ky. (formerly of Westmoreland) passed away December 2, 2007, at Sumner Regional Medical Center.  He is survived by his wife, Erma Lee Woodard of Russellville, Ky.; sons, Ricky W. (Judy) Woodard of Westmoreland, Larry (Josie) Woodard of Lexington, Ky.; daughters, Joyce (Bill) Smith of Gallatin, Linda (Calvin) Collins of Gallatin, Doris (Ed) Smith of Bethpage, Janice Stinson of Lebanon, Karen (Chubby) Simons of Westmoreland; step-sons, Alton (Jill) Knight of Hendersonville, Troy (Dorian) Knight of Florence, S.C., Gordon (Jamie) Knight of Carthage, Tenn.; brothers, C.C. (Bonnie) Woodard of Bethpage, Charles (Ruth) Woodard of Westmoreland, Glenn (Geraldine) Woodard of Apopka, Fla.; 21 grandchildren, 19 step-grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, 14 step-great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil C. Woodard; mother, Nirma Dickens Woodard; first wife, Nellie Ogeal Smallwood Woodard; son, Hugh E. “Buddy” Woodard, Jr.; sister, Alberta Griffin; granddaughter, Holly Fran Woodard.  Visitation will be 12 noon until 9 p.m., Monday, December 3, 2007, 10 a.m., until 9 p.m., Tuesday, and 10 a.m., until service time on Wednesday.  Funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2007, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Randell Belcher and Bro. Jeff Brown officiating.  Interment will be in Sumner Memorial Gardens.  Pallbearers: All of the grandsons.  Eld. Woodard was a Missionary Baptist Minister for over 50 years. He retired from Yellow Freight Lines.
Wanda Lee Ziegler, age 77, of Westmoreland, passed away at her residence on January 26, 2007.   She is survived by her daughter, Jo Ellen Woodard of Westmoreland; grandchildren, Phillip Woodard of Westmoreland, Kevin Woodard of Westmoreland, Karay Woodard of Westmoreland; great-grandchildren, Kailan Woodard and Landon Woodard.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie Elmo Sutton & Pauline Bundy Sutton; and one daughter, Sue Ward.  Graveside services for Mrs. Ziegler will be at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2007, at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Westmoreland.
