A precious, gentle woman, who endured too many of life's hardships in her early years, but shared her latter years in peace and love in Deep River. Our sincerest sympathy to her family. Those of us who knew Kathryn will treasure the memories she has left behind. Peace be with you all.

I am so sorry to hear this sad news of the passing of Kathryn. We only had the pleasure of meeting her a couple of times, several years ago... When we visited William and the family. She kindly gave us her recipe for her hamburger soup... Now a firm favourite with the rest of our family here in Scotland.. Rest in peace dear lady..

Kazuko/Kathryn became my chum in the small high school in Kaslo BC.We exchanged a few letters when I went to UBC .One of my daughters and her hubby worked at Deep River, so i saw this lady in person.
Her grandson Ewan worked in my part of BC last year.
Farewell to a much valued friend. Sympathy to her family

Dear Susan, Stuart and Ewan;

Our sincere condolences on the passing of your mother and grandmother. Your daily walk at lunchtime with your mom, Susan, demonstrated such patient and kind love. You, with book in hand, reading to her, walking so slowly beside your mother with her walker - that scene always touched my heart. Her legacy lives on through you and Ewan. May God comfort you in this time of grief.

Susan and William,

What a wonderful woman your mother was! She was a lady who always had a smile for everyone.

I'm sure that you both carry wonderful memories of her. I joyfully remember that as a child, she introduced me to peanut butter and banana sandwiches.

Best wishes,

Doug Cameron
