Colleen: My condolences. What a great photo! That’s the Martin James I remember. As President of the Golf Club he took ownership for year after year. And he could play: shot a sub 70 round one wet spring. A man to be admired.

Deepest condolences to Colleen, Jennifer and Julie-Anne. Will always remember Uncle Martin fondly for his quick wit and even quicker golf swing. Cherished our times playing golf in Deep River as a youngster and Martin handing me my sawed-off three-iron without asking because “that’s what he always hits.” Sure did. Rest In Peace, Martin.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family for your loss of Martin. I had admired your support of Martin in the last difficult years of his life. He never stopped fighting and although he enjoyed watching sports on TV, although he much rather been playing then observing. I hope none of the the golf carts don't catch on fire in heaven. Lol. I will cherish the memories when we were kids. Love Ed & Noreen McVey

I played Junior hockey, and went through high school, with Jennifer, and I started golfing around the same time as Julie. I had limited interaction with Martin, but when I did so he was always polite and kind to me, and I admit he was a great golfer from whom I learned a thing or two. To Colleen, Jennifer, Julie, and the rest of the family, my condolences to you all.
