Starl B. Alfaro nee Turner died peacefully Friday the 2nd of December 2016 at home amongst her family. A loving mother, sister and grandmother, born in 1936 in Chicago, IL, she was an active member of the American Legion and The Humane Society. She loved watching classic movies full of dancing and music, spending time with her children, grandchildren and most of all, making crafts to share her love with all those she met. Her laugh and smile never failed to light up a room. Starl’s love of life will live on forever in the hearts of all those who knew her.
Starl is survived by her children David Alfaro Jr. (Rose Alfaro), Michelle Padilla (Mike Padilla), Wendy Gay Van Etten (Alfaro), Tammy Alfaro, Mike Alfaro, Scott Alfaro (Lisa Alfaro), grandchildren Mike Padilla, Paul Padilla, Peter Jurich, Stacy Starl Jurich (Tim Shannon), Jonathan Alfaro (Courtney Alfaro), Lauren Alfaro and Ricky Van Etten.
A private burial service will be held for Starl the 9th of December 2016 at the Evergreen Cemetery. She will be laid to rest next to her mother, father, sister and brother. In lieu of flowers, donations to your local animal shelter or to The Wounded Warrior Project in her name would be most appreciated.
