Lawrence J. “Larry” Kirwan. 87 years.  Beloved Husband of the late Grace (nee Marback) Kirwan. Loving father of Sandra (Dave) Barber, Cindy (John) McBride, Christine (Rob) Kirwan-O’Brien, Pam (Mark) Gilmartin. Devoted grandfather of Ron Roach, Kelly (Franklin) Mina, Erin (Gary) Huizar, Mark (Melissa) Gilmartin and John Gilmartin. Dearest great-grandfather of Gael Kirwan Mina.  Cherished son of the late Laurence (late Rose) Kirwan.  Dear brother of the late Peggy (late Jim) Murphy, late Catherine (late Ron) Schaffrath, Florie (Frank) Smith. Lifelong Canaryville resident. 45 year member Flags Club. Retired Cook County Sheriff’s Department. 4th Degree member Knights of Columbus, Madonna Council # 1135. Signal delivery driver for 44 years. Usher St. Therese Catholic Church.  11th Ward Precinct Captain for many years.  Friend to all who knew him.  Funeral Services Saturday, May 21, 2016, 10: 00 a.m., From the Thomas McInerney’s Sons Funeral Home, 4635 South Wallace Street, Chicago, IL, to St. Therese Catholic Church, 218 West Alexander Street, Chicago, IL.  Mass of the Resurrection   12:00 p.m. Visitation Friday, May 20, 2016, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Interment: Private.
