Nina and I have never had to live without our beloved Annie. For more than 64 years we have experienced it all. St Gabe’s 1st Grade, Communions, Confirmations, Graduation, High School, Marriages…we’ve done it all. There were times we each went in our own direction but always, always at the other end of the phone and always, always "there" for each other.
Annie in Pastel Green, Nina in Pastel Pink, both in my wedding.
My 2 beautiful friends always in my heart, always in my life. Laughing, crying…..mostly laughing.
Anne and I both strong personalities, Nina the ever gentle witness to our conversations and disagreements. Never said a word…but "precious one" was always there supporting the 2 of us. That's what Anne and I thought of Nina, the ever spiritual precious one.
We go deep; we know the secrets each other holds dear.
I was the last to see Annie Girl, I knew when the time came she didn't want us to be there. She told us how she wanted everything to be. You did get your way, as you should have Annie Girl. When it was time for me to go, I told her I’ve loved you always dear friend and kissed her on her forehead. I took my sticky room pass and scribbled a note to my ”little Chicken Noodle”, saying I love you Annie Girl then told her I will see you again in Heaven. I pulled back her gown sticking the note on her heart sending my dear friend with my words into forever. Nina arrived, she did the same with her own note, as I said the 3 of us always on the same page.
Nina said we had the privilege of receiving this gift from God called Annie, we will always be grateful for our days together.
Thank you God for Annie, we are for her as she was for us, so grateful to have shared each of our lives. It’s so hard to give God his wonderful gift back. There will be an empty place from now on..................
