Joanne E. “Betty” Callahan.  82 years.  Beloved wife of the late Raymond H. Callahan, Sr.  Devoted mother of Joseph (Janet), Jeanmarie (Geno) Ford, Sean (Debra), Marybeth (Dave) Singleton, Raymond (Patricia), Richard (Theresa), Patrick (Debra).  Loving grandmother of 21.  Great-grandmother of 14.  Dearest daughter of the late Richard and Mary (nee Hanrahan) O’Connor.  Dear sister of Mary Byrne, the late Edward (Grace), Rita (Dick) Evoy, Theresa (Jack) Haberstroh, Dick (Shirley).  Fond aunt of many neices and nephews.  Former member of St. Gabriel’s Womens Club.  Funeral services Wednesday, January 8, 2014, 8:45 a.m. from the Thomas McInerney’s Sons Funeral Home, 4635 South Wallace Street, Chicago, IL to St. Gabriel Church.  Mass of the Resurrection 10:00 a.m. Visitation Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Interment: Private.  (773) 268-0703

My deepest sympathy for the Callahan family, your mom was a very compassionate and friendly person. She always made me laugh and made me feel like one of her own when I was at your house. I remember her by her smile. May she rest in peace and my God Bless all of you. She was a great mom!

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal. You will be missed greatly Mrs.C. My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Betty Callahan. One great lady. Sending lots of love your way Mrs. C. May the Lord Keep you in the Palm of His Hands.
