Irene Mary Letizia Page, of Martinez, GA, formerly of Chicago, IL passed away peacefully on Friday, November 1, 2013 at Trinity Hospital in GA, following a brave fight with cancer. Survivors include:her mother, Martha Letizia, her five daughters, Vicki (Miro) Ledajaks of Chicago, IL, Allison (Steven) Greene of Martinez, GA, Cristina (Rutilo) Jurado of Jacksonville, NC, Stephanie (Shawn) Schaardt of Honolulu, HI and Jenni (Dean) Lowe of Evans, GA; her sister Pat (Rudy) Wilmoth of Martinez, GA and her five grandchildren, who affectionately knew her as Gran-Gran: Sebastian Crawford Greene, Sophia Renee Greene, Anneka Page Ledajaks, Alexander Joseph Ledajaks, and Ameya Margarethe Schaardt. She was preceded in death by her father, Pat Letizia.
Irene was born on February 3, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY and graduated from William J. Bogan High School in Chicago, IL. Irene was an active volunteer at St. Mary’s on the Hill Catholic School when her daughters were younger and was a founding member of the “Crafty Moms”. She was an exceptional cook, particularly with Italian dishes, worked as a volunteer with the Girl Scouts, and enjoyed crocheting with the ladies of Grits ‘n Grins. Irene was a member of St. Mary’s on the Hill Catholic Church.

A Funeral Mass was held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Fr. Jerry Ragan celebrant. Burial will follow on November 22, 2013 at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Illinois.
