Elizabeth J. "Betty" Hillgamyer nee Houdek age 85, moved to heaven on March 28, 2013 after spending the last few weeks with her loving family near her side. She was preceded in death by the love of her life "Bud" Hillgamyer. Betty is survived by her loving children., Therese (Pete) Kammholz, Mary Beth (the late Jerry) Pressley, the late Hank (Debbie) Hillgamyer, Bill (Carole) Hillgamyer, Ellen (Larry) Barker, Ann (Steve) Ensworth and Mike (Joe Samson) Hillgamyer. She was also blessed with wonderful grandchildren including Harry and Patrick Kammholz, Ben and Elizabeth Pressley, Becky and Amy Hillgamyer, Bill, Kristin and Peter Hillgamyer, David, Samantha (Mike) Seufert, Larry, Adam, Mary, Matt, Josh, Paul and Faith Barker and Zak Ensworth. She was also a fond aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She was cheerleader to us all, left us with an exceptional moral compass and will be greatly missed. Betty spent her life enjoying her children and grandchildren and her puppy, Danny Boy. She was an avid crossword puzzle enthusiast and an extraordinary artist. Beloved daughter of the King of Kings! Visitation Monday 2pm to 9pm at Thomas McInerney's Sons Funeral Home 4635 S. Wallace St. where funeral services will be held Tuesday. Family and friends will gather at 9:30am for a 10am funeral service with Pastor Nancy Shannon officiating. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery. Betty you will now be missed, but we will one day see you again in heaven. Thank you for being a wonderful mother in law to my brother Jerry. He always spoke highly of you and loved you dearly. Not goodbye, but will see you later.

We are so very sorry for the loss of your dear mom and we are sending lots of love and hugs across the miles. She was lucky to have you as son and son-in-law and it was wonderful that you could be by her side all of these last weeks and months.

We are so sorry for your loss. Aunt Betty was an icon who taught us so much - laughter, guts, hard work and caring. She will be missed so much. We are so sorry we couldn't be with you at the funeral, but you were all in our hearts.
