Betty M. Mahoney " Betty Boop" age 79 Nee Hanes, beloved wife of John Mahoney Sr. loving mother of John Jr.( Lydia), Donald ( Kathleen), Michael ( Patrice) Mahoney. Dearest grandmother of Christina, Staff Sgt. Paul U.S. Army( Diana), Meghan, and Lance Cpl. Sean US MC, and great grandmother of five. Devoted daughter of the late Donald and Marie Hanes. Dear sister of Harry ( Cathy) and the late Thomas( the late Barbara, Dick and Donald Hanes, and sister-in-law to Eunice. A fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. A gold star member of St. Gabriel's women's club and a member of the Madonna Council Knights of Columbus women's auxiliary. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Susan B Komen foundation, PO Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309. Funeral Thursday 9:15 AM from Thomas McInerney's Sons funeral home 4635 S. Wallace St. to St. Gabriel church for mass of Christian burial at 10 AM visitation Wednesday 2 PM to 9 PM, interment St. Mary Cemetery for further information please call 773-268-0703

To all the Mahoney family, so sorry to hear of Betty's passing, she was always a joy for me to talk to. I have memories of you all visiting us in Michigan, it was good times. She will be missed. Love you all
