Obituary

December 24, 1959 – December 5, 2019

                                                

Betty Jean Woods was born December 24, 1959 in Covington, Tennessee. She was the daughter of James W. Toliver and Georgia B. Toliver. She was the middle child of seven siblings.

Betty was educated in the Indianapolis School System and graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1978.

On November 5, 2007, Betty was united in Holy Matrimony to Robert Hayes and enjoyed marital bliss. No children were born to this union.

Betty was a self-owned business woman of Chante’s Boutique. She also worked for Indianapolis School System and Jan Pro.

Betty was a beautiful person inside and out. She had a big heart and a love for life. Betty was a high-spirited person, always on the go and had words of encouragement for anyone she met.

Betty Jean Woods went home to be with the Lord on Thursday,  December 5, 2019 at the age of fifty-nine years, eleven months and nineteen days. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert M. Hayes and Wayne Woods.

Betty Jean Woods leaves to cherish her very precious memory, her parents, James and Georgia B, Toliver; her only child, Chante Dinae Brown (Eddie Brown); three grandchildren, Elijah Brown, Exavier Brown and Emily Brown; sisters, Annie Jones, Georgia Mae Craig, Mary Ann Toliver, Connie Delores Robertson; brothers, James Earl Toliver (Karen Toliver), and Michael D. Toliver all of Indianapolis Indiana and a host of other relatives and friends.
