Dear Tammy and Family,

Our hearts are broken to hear of Peter''''s passing.  Our deepest sympathy goes out to all of you.  We are so sorry we are not able to be there, but take comfort in knowing that he is in the presence of OUR LORD, embracing Peter in HIS arms.  He is at peace now and has no more pain.  We loved and admired him. May GOD give you strength and courage through this sad time and may the love and closeness that shines in your family be an anchor to all of you.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.  We love all of you.

Your Friend and Brother Officer Anthony, and Lena

"FAETU s___ks" (with a big smile) That's the very first words that Peter said to me.
You see "FAETU" is the abriviation of the Navy unit in Norfolk Virginia that we belonged to.
That smile told me that we were going to be friends. The date was September 1965.
To be friends would be an understatement. We became brothers. He would always call me
brother Antoine and I would call him brother Peter.And..... I know that sometimes we wouldn't
see eachother for a few years, but when we did,  it would  seem like we hadn't seen eachother for a few days.
Peter had a big heart. If you knew Peter you knew that he would do anything for you.
I can only think of one word that would discribe Peter, and that is "COMPASSION"
Not only compassion for other people, but compassion for anything that he did.
I will miss you "Brother Peter"

With all my Love,
Brother Antoine

It was just one month ago Peter came to my office.I knew Peter was not well but not one word about himself . He was always wanted to know about my family and what was going on.I will miss the morning coffee at dunks as he would wake me up ,,hey doc what's happening today and the conversation would go on from there.I was a honor to be at the table with him.Eighteen years ago a stateee came to the office soaken wet and his glasses bent from a altercation with a bad guy.I believe that everyone felt safer with Peter. His advice and sense of humor will live on .I will see you again , rest in peace , Love ,Alan ,Deb,Jenna, And Brandon.

Dear Peter - you were one of a kind!  As roomates at the police academy our bond was formed.  You were so proud of your Puerto Rican heritage.  You were the most committed, loyal and dedicated young father and husband that I knew.  You gave your all to our profession and were so proud to be wearing the uniform even though they tortured us for 12 long weeks back in 1976.  You were the kind of friend that once the bond was formed we might go two years without seeing each other and the next time would be like every time!

Our little secret about baby powder at the academy in Framingham is now safe forever :)

I know Tammy is being strong and that she and the wonderful kids you helped her raise will continue to make their mark in this world in honor of  you my friend.  I''ll miss you!

Tammy and kids - here if you need me - any time!  My sincere condolences on the loss of our dear Peter.

The Perez family,  I ,if you can believe it just found out about Peter.  He was my friend and confident for 11 years, helping me through the death father who used to be Lynn Vice Squad,  and the many issues with my eldest daughter and later with the guardianship of my granddaughter.  He was a wonderful man, you are all lucky to have had him entertwined in your lives.  I know I was.  So sorry for your loss.  He was very proud of all his children, I know, he was a "father hen".  One of a kind as a law enforcement officer one of the last of a dying breed.  Again so sorry for you all.  Camille
