Posted by: Rose (Franciosa) Sisti Sun April 06, 2014 | Words are poor things when we suffer the loss of a loved one. Still I want to convey my desire, however inadequate, to offer consolation.
Please accept my deepest sympathy in your bereavement. Marie was my Maid of Honor and the God Mother to my son. Rest in peace my dear friend. |
Posted by: Lynne Auger Sun April 06, 2014 | I'm so sorry and yet glad to hear of Marie's passing. It is a relief to know she is now at peace and that we have a special angel watching over us. However, I will miss her dearly as she was a cherished friend and I've enjoyed our lively conversations over the years. I've known Marie all my life as she grew up with my Mum, Catherine McManus Doheny, but Marie came to be my friend too in my adult years as we would gather outside to smoke and chat at Nina's house or other functions. We shared a love of plants and gardening and would talk for hours. I remember her saying the last time I saw her at Nina's house in August 2013, that her son Johnny had found a girl after her own heart as she had presented Marie with a rosebush as a gift and had planted it for her. Marie will be sorely missed. I will think of her each time I plant seeds or work in my garden and patiently wait for the roses to bloom again knowing she is watching over all. My prayers and thoughts are with her children and family. God Bless. |

Maire is a kind, generous and loving woman. She took me into her household and treated me like one of her own. I am eternally grateful. |
Posted by: Harry & Diane Johnson Tue April 08, 2014 | We're so very sorry for your loss, but at least Mom's not in pain anymore, and I'm sure she's watching over you all. I can't help but think about last 4th of July at Chris and Kevin's, Marie put a CD on , it was oldies but goodies, and we had a lot of fun remembering who sang what. The triple crown will be here soon, and I'll bet Marie will be picking the winners from heaven. God bless you all. |
