We have lost a great man on earth; however, Heaven has gained a beautiful angel.  Shad was an amazing man who was loved by all who had the fortune of knowing him. My love to all of you during this most difficult time.

Our Sympathy to the McCormick family.
Np words, no matter how tender,
can touch what you are feeling,
no one can soften the sorrow.
Still we are thinking of all the family
and hoping it helps in some way
to know that we care and share in your sadness.

Rarely is one blessed enough to meet a person as kind, as pleasant, as honest, and as fun as Frank. It has truly been a pleasure to get to know him, and his family, and to have tea with him (no caffeine of course!!) and talk just about anything.  Lots of laughs and lots of fun conversations we've had. He will be truly missed.

Our deepest condolences to the McCormick family.

- family Misic.

Dear McCormick family,

We were so heartbroken to hear of Frank's passing.
For those of us in Newfoundland, I can say that Frank was a truly special and dear member of the family - his love of life and family kept us feeling close to you all; even though many miles and years separate us.

Back in 2000, I was working in the US and had the opportunity to see Frank and Elaine and some other members of the family. It was truly wonderful the way he opened his home and heart to me - he gave me a well needed break and certainly cheered my spirits; as I had been away from home for about 6 months at that time. I remember how we sat in his kitchen and talked for hours about family and friends, Newfoundland and Boston, and all things in between.
I remember thinking how much he reminded me of my own father and this was such a blessing at a time when I was definitely feeling more than a little homesick. He showed me pictures of his and Elaine's wedding (they looked so beautiful!) and I was touched at how he spoke of his family with such love and respect. How lucky you are to have been able to have such a person in your lives.
Frank will be truly missed and forever remembered with such love.
On behalf of all the Southwell family, may I say that our hearts go out to you and our prayers are with you.

Sincerely,
Sarah Southwell,
Julia, Catherine and Ron Southwell.

Uncle Frank, you were a very special Uncle and I have many fond memories of you, my 1st one being when my mom had just bought me new shoes, I think I was around 1 yr.old and you said " Cheryl Ann I'm going to put in the frying pan" but put me into washing machine which had water in it and my mom always told me that story. I will always remember your smile and twinkle in your eyes. I know there's a party in heaven as you are with Aunt Elaine and my Mom and Dad and all the other angels from our family. Rest in Peace my Uncle, Love Cheryl Ann.

To the McCormick family,
Our sincere condolences to all of you at this time of grief and loss. Our memories of Frank are nothing but pleasant; he was a wonderfully kind and decent man.
Donald recalls many mornings in Maine walking over from John & Leila's house to sit and talk with my "early rising friend" and catch up over a cup of coffee.
May he rest in peace

To the McCormick family - please accept my condolences on the loss of a wonderful man. I remember my mom, Cecilia Holt (Southwell) telling me lots of stories about Frank during his times in Newfoundland and how funny and full of life he was. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time.
