Tue July 28, 2009 Your compassion for people and animals had no boundaries. You loved strays, and I was one of those strays. You and your family took me in and treated me like I belonged. I've called you my best friend since day one. Daniel is devastated and 6000 miles away. He would be here for you if he could. He made me promise to say "Hey Coolio, wanna go to the beach"? He will be home next year to visit you. He is leaving you his sneakers. We love you and your family the way you loved us, with no conditions. I have 15 years worth of stories to share with Maggie and Jesse. I promise you I will do for your children what we had promised each other we would do. In your memory I will aim to be a better friend to those I love, following your most perfect example. I love you and may you rest in peace knowing how many lives you have blessed in your short time here.

I was fortunate to meet you and Kim through my brother John. Any time I saw her, it was obvious how much Kim loved her children and what a great mom she was.
