My mother was a resident of Artis Senior Living.  From her first days at Artis, my mother, Vickie, became fast friends with Margie.  I was so glad to see that friendship bloom.  When I would visit my mother, they would often be together.  Margie was a delight, always smiling, happy and cheerful.  I felt they found pleasure in each other's company, as did I when I went to visit.
Margie was a positive influence on Vickie encouraging her to participate in activities when my mother sometimes didn't want to.  Margie would say "let's try it...what else have we got to do."  And, then, off they would go.
They passed away within six days of each other.  May their lovely friendship continue and may they both rest in peace with their beloved husbands.

Rest in peace sweet lady. It was a pleasure to serve with you on the Board at Mystic Valley.
You had so much kindness and compassion for others.
God bless you.
Love Christine

Pam’s and my birthdays book-ended Mahge’s.  We were fortunate to have had several breakfast celebrations together…And celebrations, they were.  Mahge herself was a celebration of life and we will dearly miss sharing that with her.  We will miss her especially on the 24th and thank Ang for bringing her into our lives.

I was so sad to hear of Marjorie’s passing. In visiting my mother, Margaret in Parker’s Tavern I’d join in on some of the activities. Marjorie was sitting next to me & her lovely granddaughter had just visited. Then we had a painting to colour of a man holding a beer stein. Marjorie & I giggled quite a bit over it. My mother took it rather seriously & ended up with the best picture.
I liked seeing Marjorie on my visits so very much. Always so  happy & enjoying life. Giving her best to every activity at Artis.
I will miss your mother very much.  I read here also that her friend Vicki passed within days of Marjorie. I’m not sure if it’s the Sandra that I’ve chatted with but if so & even if not I’m so sorry to hear. There is nothing to compare to best friends.
