We've shared many laughs and tears with Brenda. She exemplified God's love and grace. Brenda was so "real" and down to earth. We have been blessed by her friendship. May God's peace surround her family at this time. You are not alone and you are loved.

Mom,
How bittersweet a time this is. Bitter because you are no longer in our physical presence yet sweet for you are no longer experiencing agony.
You are alongside your Lord whom you have worshipped and praise for years. Also those, like your sibilings and mother who have parted before you now joyously reunit with you, embracing you with open arms.
You have blessed me and others with years of dedication to church, Sunshine Christian Daycare, friends, and most importantly family... I am so glad you have welcomed me into yours.
The wonderful memories I share with you will always comfort me and attempt to fill this void.
THANK YOU for treating me as if I were one of your own. The nurture you have shown me is unmeasurable and has help to mold me into the woman I am today.
You will always be a part of me for you have written your name on my heart.
I LOVE YOU MOM, YOU ARE MY ANGEL!

Mom,
You gave me a special gift that I will hold in my heart forever. You are at peace now and no longer in pain. The battle we faced together was a tough one, but you were a fighter and you gave me the strength to do it. You made me into the woman I am today and I thank you for that. I know you are watching over me, Roseann, Derek, Nathan and Joey everyday.
I love you.

God bought our families together and I thank Him every day for allowing our lives to be intertwined with such a beautiful spirit. Our time together was too short, but Brenda's impact on our lives will never end. We look forward to being reunited with our sweet friend in a better place one day.

HI BREN, IT'S ME ARL,I CANNOT BELIEVE IT WHEN I SEE YOUR NAME ON THIS OBITUARY GUESTBOOK. HARD TO BELIEVE YOU ARE GONE.
IT BROKE MY HEART TO SEE YOU SUFFER, AND ALSO TO WATCH THE PAIN IN THE THREE KID'S EYES, THAT STEMMED FROM THEIR BROKEN HEARTS.
YOU ARE THE BABY SISTER TO GREG AND I, AND WILL NEVER LEAVE OUR HEARTS BREN. YOU ARE NOT HERE PHYSICALLY TO BE WITH US. BUT, YOU WILL BE WITH US DAILY, SPIRITUALLY. THE TEARS FLOW SO EASILY MISSING YOU SO MUCH. ME AND GREG CAN HARDLY STAND IT. WHEN YOU LEFT US BRENDA, A PIECE OF OUR HEARTS WERE CARRIED TO HEAVEN BY THE ANGELS WITH YOU.
I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT ME AND GREG WILL ALWAYS BE HERE FOR, DEREK, SHANNON, ROSEANN AND NATHAN AND BABY JOEY. THEY CAN COUNT ON US ALWAYS. WE LOVE THEM ALL.
BRENDA, YOU ARE IN HEAVEN WITH OUR MASTER, JESUS, AND WITH HIM CAN WATCH OVER US ALL. WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH, MISS YOU SO MUCH AND THE PAIN OF YOU GONE HURTS, BUT, WITH OUR FAITH WE KNOW, IT IS GOOD YOU ARE IN HEAVEN FREE OF ALL THE HORRIBLE PAINS YOU WENT THROUGH FOR FIFTEEN MONTHS.
LOVE YOU BREN, ARLENE AND GREG AND OUR FAMILIES

Though our time was short, I was able to see why my sister Kathy had felt so close to this sweet lady. God bless the family as they struggle with this loss. Please know that our prayers are with you all.

Brenda was truly one of a kind and I'm so glad God brought her into our lifes. She had such a sweet spirit and strong faith and taught us all about God's love and grace by example. Brenda could make you laugh with just one word or a look.
Her greatest joy were you kids and she was so proud of all of you.

Auntie Brenda,
I miss you so very much. I will treasure the happy memories that I have had fun making with you over the years. Your humor was only one of the things that made you so special. I watched as you gracefully endured so much pain from this cancer. Not once did I hear you complain or ask "why me". I marvel at your faith, bravery and strength. You were truly a role model, not only for your children but for all of us. Your faith only grew stronger with each day you got sicker. I know you will always be with us and watching over us, especially baby Joey. I know you will be his guardian angel. My heart is heavy as I write this, but I know you are with Jesus. and at peace. I will love and miss you forever.

Mom,
It gets harder as the days go by for me. I can still hear your voice, and feel your gentle touch. I miss you so much. It gives me peace to know you are not in pain anymore, but it also makes me angry and sad that you had to feel any pain at all. Cancer should never have happened to a woman like you. I love you, Brenda baby, you will live in my heart forever. Thanks for everything, Ma, I mean that from the bottom of my heart. You are the strongest person I know. Please watch over me, my son and the rest of our family. I love you more than words could ever say.

Earth Angel Brenda, I guess God knew you were too good for this world. He truly gave us a wonderful gift when you were born. I miss you so much. I know you will busy watching over your beautiful children and their families. I was so glad to have seen Joey with you, your shadow! You moved he moved. Now you will be shadowing him. Your children are beautiful, strong people, because of the role model they had in you. Anyone that did not have the honor and pleasure of knowing you missed a great spiritual experience. God knew you were too good for this world and He took you home with all the angels. Oh and I know heaven sang out when you arrived there. I miss you so much! You always were there to lift spirits! Love, Louise

Auntie Brenda,
I want to thank you for including me in your family activities, and for celebrating a 16th birthday party for me.
I will always remember you as a kind hearted and soft spoken person; who was dedicated to her immediate and extended family.
You had a strong faith and chose to live your accordingly; treating "everyone" with respect.
I am glad I had the opportunity to spend time with you this summer; I was able to know you more intimately.
I watched you as you struggled to maintain your life with cancer. You made the most of your current circumstances and continued to seek peace and resolution by attending church and reading spiritual books.
I will always remember your words when you spoke of your family with love and pride for Derek, Shannon, Roseann, and Joey. You were so proud of Derek for becoming an entrepreneur. Shannon lived with you, and she supported you through all of your medical appointments. Roseann matured into a woman and loving mother. Joey...ah Joey, he was "your medicine", and you wanted the most for his future.
Derek, Shannon, Roseann, and Joey took tender care of you; to heal you and nurture you. I know your love will continue to grow for your family.
Auntie Brenda, you touched the lives of so many people from your large biological and church family; to your many friends, including Corinne. There are so many children who are better off for having had you as their day care teacher.
Rest well and know that you will be missed and always treasured in our hearts.
Lovingly Your niece,
Marie

My Auntie she was one to make you laugh or make you cry. With a Big Heart full of Love to Share. She could talk for hours, Or in the end not at all. But with or without words each one knew who they were to Brenda, # 1 and that's all! A special place she had for each one, Her Heart was so Big she'd let anybody in. But family came 1st and friends dear as well, She'd never give up, She was so swell. The cancer kept creeping, and doing it's work, But Auntie Brenda wouldn' have it, And she fought it and fought it with all of her might. Then came the day, She was heard to say, "I am ready to go on my way." Soon Heavens Doors Opened, And Angels Sang LOUD, For Auntie Brenda was there now, And Look at the crowd.... They had been waiting to meet her and greet her at last! And then Jesus Her Savior His arms open wide, said "Well done my good and faithful servant" with tears in His eyes. Now our Dear precious Brenda is waiting for all the FAITHFUL and LOVED Ones to Follow Her PATH!
I'll always Love and Miss You, Your Neice, Alexandra Rose Escalera

Auntie Brenda,
There is a lot of beautiful things to say about you. The first thing that comes to our mind is the fact that you always had a kind word to say about everyone. You never missed any invitation to our home or seeing our children. We thank you for that. Your soft spoken voice and kind nature will always be remembered. We know that Jesus received another Angel today. I also want to personally thank you for always making me a big part of the family. I also want to thank you for telling me you LOVE me every time you saw me. I knew you really meant it! We LOVE and MISS you and you will be in our prayers forever. Rest in Peace our Sweet Auntie Brenda.

Ma,
I'm moving out of the place we made our home for the last 5 years. It has been really hard to be there without you, but I'm glad I got to stay for a little while to do what I had to do and to say goodbye. I am on my way to a new begining and my life as an adult woman. I promised you I was going pursue my dreams, and one day have a family of my own, and i know you will be there along with me. Corinne has been so good to me and has helped me make the transition into her home. I love you and miss you everyday.
