Born in Rhode Island in 1909. Two years later the family moved to Massachusetts. Mr. Salera in the early 1930's became an amateur boxer. Later he was employed for family owned Bay State Macaroni. When the company was sold he then worked until retirement as a chemist for a fabric company. Throughout his life he was active in many organizations in his community. He leaves his wife Catherine "Katie" Scarpaci. Father of Ursula Bolz, Joann Citrano and Kathy Sentner. Also survived by 3 grandchildren: Karen, Joseph, Tracey and 4 great grandchildren: Joey, Sydney, Andrew, Dillion. Interment will be private. Donation to Changing Seasons Healthcare, 289 Elm Street, Everett, MA 02149. Interment will be private.
