Denise Lee Anzalone Lucreziano Risi passed away on August 3rd, age 54, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Vincent Risi whom she shared 2 years of marriage. Loving mother of Tori Lucreziano, Regina Lucreziano and Samantha Ibrahim. Devoted Grandmother to her first and only grandchild, Charlie Skye Ibrahim. Former wife of Anthony Lucreziano. Step-mother to Trista Birch and her husband Francis, and step daughter to Sarah Risi. Daughter of Clara L. Mederios and the late Anthony (Ziggy) Anzalone and his surviving wife, Sandra. Her sisters Michelle Mongeon, Marie Ellard, Donna Lento and her brothers Anthony Anzalone  and the late James Mongeon. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was a die-hard Red Sox fan with a larger than life soul, who loved to create art, sing, dance and play pranks. She adored playing with her granddaughter, singing to her, and watching her grow.  She recently got into the hobby of making wreaths, she was very passionate about them, as they also served a purpose of art therapy. She had a thing for owls, and often said to her husband “Owl always love you.” She also had a thing for cactus’s, blue roses and sun flowers.  Her favorite Holiday was Halloween, which she would go all out for. She has brightened the lives of everyone she has met in her many years on this earth. She will live forever through the hearts of her loved ones, and through the words she spoke and believed in. The song she sang to her daughters Tori and Regina, as young children “You are my sunshine” will carry on through their lives, as the sun shines upon their faces. She left a massive footprint on this earth, she has truly LIVED.

“Love you all the way up to God momma, like we always said.. and now I know you all the way from heaven.” - Pumpkin Head

Wow Speechless here. First day of my vacation and this is the news I receive from a Very Good Friend who knew we had been Very Good Friends. In fact it was You Denise that called me (when I was on vacation) when G passed. George, I called him G. I guess I am kind of Numb, trying to process and accept yet another very sad reality here. My heart goes out to your Family and Friends. You have had a special place in my heart since the days when we first met back in high school. If it is Okay with You Denise, It is a place where you will remain. Love You GF, Ruthie.

Sad news. It's always heartbreaking to hear of a loss. May any pain be gone and only live and happy memories remain. May family be there to help shoulder the rough times and make stronger the heart and soul. Until we meet our loved ones again may we be strong to persevere and keep our loves proud .

To my sista in law. You left us too soon, we just became family and we were going to do a cruise together . I won't forget you ever and how happy you made my brother. RIP. Love you forever.

On behalf of our entire family, please know that our prayers and deepest sympathies are with you all during this devastating time of loss. Denise was always a shining star in this world, always happy, always positive, always beautiful. Cherish the precious time that you had together. May thoughts of Denise being reunited with her dad and brother Jimmy (our beloved “Monge 19”) comfort you somewhat and know that her spirit will live on in your hearts forever. Personally, I’ll always remember our great times during softball – we were all “SISTAS” back in the day and shared many years of fun, happy times. Right now, I’m picturing Denise wearing that beautiful black velvet skirt suit with the fur collar. She looked like a movie star – simply gorgeous inside and out – then and always!
May she rest in eternal peace.
With love, Theresa & family

My heart goes out to all those who loved Denise so much. Even though we lived so far apart I loved her too and am grieving with you all. Today it rained a lot and then I happened to look out the door and there was a huge full rainbow across the big sky above and I just took it as a sweet hello from Denise saying to us all that there is a treasure at the end of the rainbow and I have received it. Denise we will see you again at the end of the rainbow. Love you my Godchild rest now in peace. Auntie Angel

To Denise' whole family, I am truly saddened to hear this sad news.It hurts to see another classmate pass . She was always smiling and will be truly missed. I used to tease her in high school because of her long arms.I used to call her Olive oil , she reminded me of popeye's wife, but it was all in fun..She was a joy to be around. Rest in peace Denise.

My big sistaaaa from another Mrs.’s, I cannot believe you’re gone. My whole life I wanted to be just like you: beautiful, funny, tough as nails, heart of gold. I will always remember you teaching me how to make a solid grilled cheese, taking me to see my very first movie The Little Mermaid, taking me to your house for sleepovers before the girls were even born, babysitting once they were here, giving me life advice, and now bonding over motherhood and starting new lives. It’s not fair this happened to you. Tell Daddy and Jimmy and Nancy we love them, I will see you one day when I am called home. I love you forever.
