Karen M. (Galliford) Davis

Of Peabody, formerly of Everett on Jan. 1st. Beloved wife for 53 years to James R. Davis. Mother of James R. Davis, Jr. and his wife Eryn MacDonald of Beverly, Jennifer Croft and her husband Mark. Sister of the late James A. Galliford of Londonderry, NH. Daughter of the late Harold and Mary (Defeo) Galliford of Everett. Loving grandmother to Sophia, Alaithea and Daphne Crofts, Fyneen and Eilis MacDonald-Davis. Also survived by brother-in-law George Davis Sr., nephew George Davis and spouse Lourdes, cousins Shirley Cherubin and Patricia DiPietro and husband Richard and numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews.

Karen graduated from Everett High School in 1964 and lived most of her life in Everett before moving to Peabody. She also lived in Oscoda, Michigan and Oahu, Hawaii while her husband Jim was in the US Air Force during the Vietnam Era. Karen worked in retail sales for several major department stores. Enjoyed a 16 year career as a cashier at Stop & Shop in Danvers and retired in 2017. Karen’s favorite activities including reading James Patterson and Jonathan and Faye Kellerman novels. She traveled extensively throughout the USA. Favorite locations included Hilton Head Island, SC and Stowe, VT at the Trapp Family Lodge & Guest Houses, Branson, MO and LasVegas, NV. She cruised the Western Caribbean with her late brother-in-law Walter Davis and his wife Kathy. For all these exciting travel adventures, what she loved most was spending time with her five extraordinary and each uniquiely different granddaughters.

Funeral from the Salvatore Rocco & Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main Street, Everett. Tuesday, Jan. 8th, at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Everett at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Monday, 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Complementary valet parking will be available during Monday's visiting hours.
