GILBERT Graham Ian, "Gilley" of Everett. Originally from Dublin, Ireland on May 15, 2017. Beloved husband of Sheila (Sullivan) Gilbert, loving father of Sophie A. Gilbert, beloved son of Gertrude "Gerty" Gilbert and the late Eamon Gilbert, loving brother of Lisa Murray and her husband Fionnan, loving uncle of Abigail, Christopher and Daniel Murray. Funeral from the Salvatore Rocco and Son Funeral Home, 331 Main Street, EVERETT on Friday, May 26, at 9:00 A.M. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church in Everett at 10:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours are Thursday only 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Complimentary valet parking at Main St., entrance. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Dear Shelia and Sophia,
Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Graham was such a great person, I loved my conversations with him, we shared a lot of laughs and I only wish that I could have had more time with him. I met him through piping, he played with our band, the Sutherland Pipe Band, where he was a great source of inspiration. He was an incredibly gifted piper and I learned a lot from him. He was kind and generous and enjoyed a good laugh. We stayed in touch through Facebook, we shared some of the same sense of humor. We have all lost a great friend and I will miss him greatly.

It was with great shock and sadness that I learned of Gilly's passing. It was my honour to have served with Graham in No3 Operations Wing of the Irish Air Corps. He was always up for the 'craic' in work and would never shy away from going the extra mile when an aircraft was required on short notice.
The great thing about No3 was, that there was never really subordinates or superiors; just friends and colleagues and it was my great pleasure to count Gilly as both. Rest assured that many a glass will be raised and many a smile will beam when those of us who served with Gilly next meet up. We will mourn his passing but mainly we will remember his humour, the slagging and the 'tubbings'.

Sheila:
I am so shocked and saddened by the loss of Graham. My son Max and I lived next door to you both for many years (31 Myrtle). Graham always had a kind word to say and a smile on his face. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
