Patrick M. Merlino

Of Ipswish, passed away on June 18th, surrounded by his family. He was a long time resident of Belmont, until recently moving to Ipswich to enjoy his former summer residence year round.

Pat will be remembered as a loving and generous husband, father, grandfather and friend.  He is survived by wife, Renate (Eisenaecher) and his two daughters, Renee Merlino and Patricia Wagner and her husband Jess, and his grandchildren Emma and Ryan Wagner.  He will be truly missed by his family and friends.  

Funeral from the Salvatore Rocco and Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main St, EVERETT on Thursday June 23 at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony's Church Everett at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours are Wednesday only 4-7 p.m. Complimentary valet parking Wednesday at Main Street entrance. Interment will follow with Military Honors in the Woodlawn Cemetery.

Pat was a World War II veteran, who served as team chief lineman in Germany and France.  After honorable discharge from the army, he became a very successful businessman.  He was proprietor of Stuart Restaurant and Bar, and Giuffre Realty until his retirement in 1999.

He was an avid Bruins fan and life time member of the Boston Madison Square Garden Club.  

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in his name may be made to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan Street, Sutie B-102, Danvers, MA  01923.

So sorry for your loss. We so enjoyed chatting with both of you as we rounded the corner on our nightly rides thru the Neck. He was such a gentle soul and so well loved by family and friends. Please accept our sincerest condolences

Dear Family, I am so very sorry about the loss of year dear loved one. May the thought at Job 33:25 give you comfort in knowing that Mr. Merlino will return to the days of his youth and be able to enjoy life without the infirmities of old age. My sincere condolences to you.
