Mario Scenna age 60, of Pepperell, MA passed away on March 28, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his family.
Mario was born in Orsogna Abruzzi Italy on May 29, 1954. He was the devoted husband of Donna Scenna. Mario was the son of John Scenna and the late Angela Scenna. He was the brother of Rocco Scenna and his wife Bina Scenna.
Mario came to the United States in 1958 at the age of 4 with his mother and brother, to join his father who came before them to pave the way. He grew up in Everett, MA and graduated from Everett High School. Mario’s love of cars lead him to Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology where he received a degree in automotive technology. He then went on to have a long and successful career in the automotive industry.
Mario loved to travel and was fortunate that his career allowed him to travel the world seeing many countries, such as Japan, Australia and everything in between. Mario adored taking his family on special trips to the White Mountains, Canada, and Disney World. He had a passion for music and played the drums for many years. When Mario wasn’t fixing, building or racing cars he enjoyed spending time in Meredith, New Hampshire. Lake Winnipesaukee is where he fell in love with boats, motorcycles, snowmobiles, and many other toys. Most of all he loved and enjoyed being with his family. Mario was an old school kind of guy, who believed in doing the right thing and would do anything for his family and friends. As Mario’s father paved the way for his family here, his mother is paving the way in heaven. Until we meet again, you will forever live on in our hearts.
Mario was a loving father to his three children, Mario, Anthony and his wife Stephanie, and Nicole, and a loving grandfather to his two grandchildren, Angelo and Lilianna. He also was a beloved uncle to many nephews and nieces. Mario also leaves behind his many beloved pets.
