MERCHANT, Stephen D. Of Malden, formerly of Everett, on July 20th. Beloved husband of Li Chen. Father of Rene Harrell of Billerica. Son of the late Frederick and Mary (Sullivan). Brother of Frederick J. of Revere, Patricia DiPietro of Melrose, Denise Corriere of Wakefield and the late James. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Salvatore Rocco & Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main St., EVERETT Friday July 26 at 10:30 a.m. A prayer service will be held in the Funeral Home at 11 o'clock. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Stephen was a late Machinist at the General Electric Plant, Lynn and a member of I.U.E. local #201. Complimentary valet parking will be available at Funeral Home Thursday evening.
