CARUSO, Angela Mary  (Grilli) of Brunswick, ME, formerly of Everett MA, passed away peacefully on January 8th. She was the wife of the late Joseph S. Caruso. A long-time resident of Everett, Angela was born in East Boston on March 21st, 1915, the beloved daughter of the late Joseph G. and Mary (Libretti) Grilli. She was raised in Everett and a graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1933. Told that she would always have difficulties walking, dancing, etc, she defied all odds not only walking and dancing but doing extensive travels and even white water rafting and hot air ballooning in her 80s and 90’s. She graduated with an Associates’ degree from Salem State College.  During her career she ran her own sewing business, specializing in invisible mending and also retired from the Post Office where she sorted mail for many years and established and directed the Boston Post Office Choir. Angela was a devoted mother, loving grandmother, and proud great- grandmother (BisNonna). A deeply devout Roman Catholic, Angela  was one of the original parishioner when St. Anthony’s Church on Oakes St, Everett opened in 1951 and sang, directed and played the organ in the Church Choir for many years. She is survived by her two children, Virginia M Caruso of Brunswick and John J Caruso and his wife, Virginia (Penny) of Ocoee, FL; two grandchildren, John J Caruso (Jr)  of Chicago and Christy (Caruso) Williams of East Brunswick, NJ; and three great grandchildren, Ethan Murdock, Catlyn Celeste and Ronan Salvatore Williams;  her brother, Joseph M. Grilli and his wife Jennie of NH, and the late Marion Stoodley and Louisa Grilli; and many nieces and nephews. Donations in Angela's memory may be made to St. Charles Borromeo Church, All Saints’ Parish, 132 McKeen St., Brunswick, ME 04011 or St. Anthony Church, 38 Oakes St, Everett, MA 02149. Theresa and I send our sincere condolences to Virginia and John, and are sorry we could not be there in person. THERESA always enjoyed listening to your mother play the guitar and sing when she was a young girl.

I am so sorry to have read of your loss. Please accept my sincere condolences. Something that I have personally found to be of great comfort is what the Bible says at John 5:28,29 and Revelation 21:4. In these verses we see that soon God is going to bring about a resurrection of our loved ones and that he is going to do away with all causes we have for suffering including sickness and death. Knowing this has always comforted me and it is my sincere hope that these thoughts comfort your family as well.
