My sincere condolences to you and your family. You were a wonderful daughter and I know that your dad appreciated all that you did for him.
It's not easy losing a parent. Our hearts never stop aching. Thankfully
we have God's promise that we will be reunited one day. Until that day,
continue to reflect and share all your fond memories of him. I pray that
God gives you extra strength and endurance, while going through this
time of grief.

At one time, Everett High School lined up its students in alphabetical order, so it happened that my youngest brother, Kenneth Powers, stood behind Tony’s oldest daughter, Maryann Piccolo. That was the very beginning of a relationship that later joined my family to his.
I didn’t become acquainted with the Piccolos until several years later and at a very sad time. Tony’s beloved wife was gravely ill with cancer and died shortly after.
Tony, in the depths of grief for his wife, bravely assumed full responsibility for continuing to raise the children. It wasn’t easy. He was an Italian immigrant and the children were the products of a liberal 70s America, inclined to rebel at his Old World parenting. But he brought them to maturity brilliantly. Just look at the kids today and their saintly devotion to their special Dad during the senior years of his life.
Bless you, Tony, and Godspeed.

To the family: May the comfort from family and friends strengthen you during this difficult time, and may you find comfort in the words found in the Holy Scriptures: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
