Doc worked with me at Wonderland Dog Track for many years. I met Doc through the late Ted LaRocca a close friend of mine. Ted LaRocca had a saying: "There are pitchers and catchers in this world". Doc was a pitcher. One of the good guys who was always ready to help someone. To Doc''s family, please accept my condolences and we will keep him in our prayers.

My mom and Ed were soul mates and best friends. I can't imagine what our family will be like without Ed. He was so entertaining and we loved to tease him about his quirks. Since our Dad's passing, Ed lit up Ellie's life and they were attached at the hip. He even fell in love with her cats! This was so fast and so hard for our family and friends. Our hearts are broken for our mom, what they had was truly unique. I will think of Ed joining his family and my uncle (his pal) on that big beautiful beach in the sky, working on his Florida tan.

I am so sorry for your loss and am devastated at the untimely news of his death. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the wake or the funeral because my wife and I are leaving tomorrow on a cruise. I cannot believe that this has happened. If there is anything I can do let me know. I worked with "Doc" at Wonderland. We will not be home until March 26th. My prayers are with you all.
