Dorothy "Dot" Coogan, 93, of Everett passed away peacefully on November 3rd. Dorothy spent her life dedicated to others as she was a teacher's aide, a mother, and a volunteer at a local elementary school. Dot loved helping children learn how to read and the children loved when she came to volunteer. Besides her love for her family and teaching was her love for yelling the phrase "bingo". Dot was an avid bingo player and enjoyed playing card games with her granddaughter and bingo buddies. Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Jackson of Malden and Janice Gorman and her husband, Richard, of North Reading. Dot was the loving sister of Barbara Green of North Andover and Jean Demone of New Jersey. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Kerry Sorrentino and her husband Francesco, of Tewksbury. Dorothy is survived by loving nieces and nephews and was the wife of the late Lawrence Coogan. Visiting Hours: Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 7th at Salvatore Rocco & Sons Funeral Home, Everett, MA between 12:00 and 12:45 with interment at 1:00PM Woodlawn Cemetery.
