Delcore, of Everett on Thursday, January 5, 2017, Gloria (Solimine). Beloved wife of the late Rudolph (Rudy) Delcore to whom she was happily married to for 35 years before his sudden and premature demise, passed at age 89 surrounded by her loving family at home. Dearest mother of Gloria Hartling, Joanne M. DeMato and husband John (Mickey), Priscilla Garrity and husband Richard (Rickey) and Gregory Delcore and wife Victoria.  Adored daughter of the late Salvatore and Paolina (Ginolfi) of Italy and last surviving sister of 15 other siblings.  Also survived by her much loved grandchildren Christian DeMato and his wife Sara, Jenna DeMato Hebert and her husband Phillip, Paul Harting, Craig Garrity and his wife Samantha, Alicia and Michael Garrity and Greg and Marc Delcore. Also survived by her two cherished great granddaughters Lia and Ella DeMato who provided her with the most joy in her declining days.  A Girl’s High School Graduate who just recently attended her 72nd year reunion with Gloria Salerno of Everett of her class, lived in Boston’s Historic North End where she helped her father in his bakery and then worked at the Eagle Shoe Company in Everett. She married as a war bride after Rudy’s return from Okinawa in the Philippines in World War II.  She moved to Everett where she resided for close to 70 years and after raising her family she went to work as a cafeteria helper for the Everett Public Schools. She was a dear friend to Ginny (Messina) Jamgochian of Woburn, Linda Mancuso of Boston and the late Tony Calabro of New York.  Gloria was a proud former member of the Everett Emblem Club, Mother of Twins Club, The Red Hats Society and the The City of Everett Beautification Committee and was an avid Boynton Beach, Florida snowbird where she made many great friends and enjoyed the rest of her life.

The funeral is from the Salvatore Rocco & Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main Street, Everett, MA on Monday, January 9, 2017. A Prayer Service will be held in the funeral home at 12:00 pm (noon). Visiting hours are prior from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.  Relatives and friends are invited.  Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

A memorial in Gloria’s name may be made to The Home for Little Wanderers, 780 American Legion Hwy, Roslindale, MA or Mystic Valley Elder Services, 300 Commercial St., #19, Malden, MA  02148.
